SmoothfoamStyrofoam Solar System Kit for Modeling, White

Used for a 3rd grade science fair. My son used acrylic paints to decorate. They come with a small hole in each ball to add a wooden rod. We set it up differently by hanging them to make a mobile but the sheet it came with was helpful. It gives u a choice to either use paper rings for Saturn or styrofoam. Great set. Shipping said it would take a couple of weeks but we got it sooner which was wonderful.

Made a great solar system for my 10-yr-old's room. We homeschool, so it wasn't for a formal school project, but it would work great for that as well. I am so glad I bought this kit versus trying to find all the different size shapes at a craft store. But the most convenient aspect is the way these were able to be colored with Sharpies! So much easier than paint! I wanted to paint them and get super creative but my son wanted to do it on his own and so he used the Sharpies and it looks great! The foam is so smooth and easy to color or paint.

Solar system kit was perfect for school project. The only thing I wish it had was Earth’s moon, but we were able to adapt.

We have several boys working on an achievement for cub scouts that require them to construct a model of the solar system. This set is exactly what they needed to have in order to do it the right way and still be able to do it themselves. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to create the model. All of the materials were very good quality and the set had great instructions that were easy for the boys to follow. When you have a good product and it is priced right, you most surely have a great chance of pleasing the people. That is what my reaction is to buying this. I am very pleased.

Turned out great! Too heavy for the base unless you weigh the base down. But we choose to hang it from the ceiling. Love it!!

My son used these Smoothfoam styrofoam to make a solar system project! They are the best! Easy to paint & more importantly, it told what size each planet was for! Project turned out great! He received a 100 grade! Highly recommend these and the seller!!
