Hi-5: Complete Series

This US copy of the Australian show is better than the original. The chemistry between Curtis, Shawn, Karla, Kimmie and Jen is amazing and it's too bad they only lasted 4 seasons. When my son was 5 he actually got to see them perform live at the UCLA book fair and it was the highlight for that year. He's 7 now and although he still enjoys it - it really isn't appropriate for him anymore... BUT I have a 2 year old that's a raving fan of "HI-5".She loves Elmo, Kipper and Backyardigans but nothing takes the place of HI-5. I also love it that this set is only $40. I remember buying the Action Hero DVD for $20 which was only 1 DVD and you get 12 in this set. Great Deal.If you've never seen Hi-5, trust me you're in for a treat and will also wonder why this show didn't last despite winning multiple emmys.

My grandkids have all been "Hi-5" kids! My littlest has loved them the most! I used to record the shows from the discovery channel, but then they went away. I started renting and that was not always the most convenient. So I decided I had to have the dvds on hand so that my youngest grandbaby, who is 4, would have them whenever he wanted to watch them. BEST THING I EVER DID!!! These 5 young people are so entertaining, they are super personable, they teach our children to be social, nice, caring, giving etc. Best of all I got a great deal with Amazon! I recommend Hi-5 to all my friends with kids under the age of 10! The set has 12 dvds, so there is so much variety that it is hard to get tired of the shows!

I purchased these for my granddaughters for Christmas. It is the end of January now and their parents say that the girls have watched these everyday and almost exclusively the only thing they watch! A very big hit! The first two weeks, the girls watched the 1st DVD, the first track, over and over, trying to memorize all of the songs and dances. These seem to be a very wholesome form of entertainment, offering the kids opportunities to learn about a variety of subjects. I would highly recommend this as a wonderful gift, especially for grandparents trying to find something for grandkid/s that like to dance and sing. I have no idea how I will top this next year!

Both my 2 and 5 yr old boys love this show and they took it off Discovery Kids when it became Hub. The shows on these DVDs are great, but the menus and navigation are horrible and there is no consistency in naming show and theme across seasons. I ordered this set to have for my grandchildren who I watch every day. The older ones had loved the show when it was on t.v., but the younger ones had not seen them. Now the minute the two year old walks through the door it's " Mimi, Hi-5." I enjoy the shows too, so I don't mind having them on. The kids love to dance and sing with them and so many of the props are made from things around the house that it really helps spur their imagination. A great set for the kids in your life or for a gift!

Just got this in the mail today for my 2.5 yr old daughter, and while it is great to have so many episodes of Hi-5, as another reviewer mentioned, the usability on this thing is utter CRAP. Navigating thru the menus and episodes is ridiculous and time consuming. I messed with it for a good 15 mins before I found a way to play a WHOLE episode without it only playing one song and reverting back to the main menu. You have to actually go in the episode list and select an episode to see the whole thing. You CANNOT hit Play All, as it will play the same first skit repetitively or just jump back to the main menu. Also, there is absolutely no episode or tracklist anywhere on the DVD, so I may need to make some little stickers to stick on the DVD's. SO annoying. Considering sending it back and just buying separate DVD's thru Amazon Z shops. I'm pregnant with a whiny 2 yr old; do you think I have the patience to deal with a defective CD everytime we want to watch Hi-5??? Disappointed overall with this product. Buyer beware!

Hi-5 is an absolutely amazing series, and my kids LOVE these videos.But this is the second time I have ordered this box set and had it be defective.The DVD's skip all over the place, it's is completely annoying and unacceptable.I bought this the first time thru Best Buy online and sent it back and got a refund.Now just bought it from Amazon, hoping the first one was just from a bad batch and if I bought thru a different supplier I could avoid that problem.Nope.I cannot tell you how frustrating this is and how poor quality the materials must be that they used for the DVDs.I am going to return this and try again, but I doubt the outcome will be different.Such a bummer, because as I mentioned, my kids are crazy about this series.

I was looking for the Australian version of this show HI-5. My 4 year old daughter watched it everyday while we lived overseas. Now that we are back in the states I could not find this show on our cable programming, so I purchased the US Hi-5. My daughter loves this one as well. She has 5 new best friends!! I rated this a 4 because of Amazon. The product was sent to the local post office and not to my house and so I did not receive this in time for her birthday.

My daughter loves the Australian version of Hi-5, but this cast comes a close 2nd. Absolute bargain. 12 DVDs, less than £3 each.... Bargain!!!

Five very talented young adults do a great educative show for kids. In a very dynamic and entertaining way kids learn and have fun. There are different topics: music, robots, exploring etc. There are also two puppets: Jup-Jup and Chats to make it even more fun. Kimee a d Jup-Jup solve problems. Shawn talks about shapes. These two are my son's favorites. Curtis makes music, Jenny and Chats tell stories and talk about colours. Karla makes you move. I think all the five guys are great. This show is for young English-speaking kids (2-6 y.o.) or for a bit older kids who are learning English in other countries. I would suggest 6- 8 or even 9 y.o. For ESL or EFL kids.If you're a kindergarten teacher or an ESL/EFL teacher, this show might I spire you to give a better class and make learning more playful and entertaining.

My girl loves all Hi5 videos. This is the best one for childre ever!

Arrived on time from the USA. No tax needed to pay for it. My 2 year old loves Hi-5 so she is happy with it.It is with the old cast.The costumes they wear feels out of fashion. When the latest Hi-5 house will be out this DVD will certainly fell outdated.It is a good buy if your kids already a fun of HI-5 and need to entertain them.

Our oldest daughter LOVED this show as a toddler/preschooler and now our youngest daughter has followed suit. When I found this boxed collection of all 4 seasons a few months ago, I snapped it up! Each of the 4 seasons has 3 dvds with lots of content. Our 2+1/2 year-old absolutely loves it. Hi-5 related to kids so well with, colour, music, dancing, singing, animals, shapes, numbers, etc. -- an unbeatable combination for toddlers and preschoolers.My only complaint is that I paid $59.99 and now it is less!!!! Still for $15 per season, this is a great buy for your kids and you'll be able to re-sell it down the road.
