Q: How do I change the fan curve of this device?

You can't, you heave to be prepared to install an outside fan power as this unit known problem is that the fan stops working and you bake your drives.

Q: How do I change the fan to a Noctua fan?

It is very difficult to change the fan. I suggest instaling the new fan from the outside over the internal fan. You can drill 2 hols and you heave your unit back to life.

Q: how do I connect this SAS JBOD directly to a PC?

Hi, You would need a PCIe card to connect the RS6414S enclosure and to your computer/PC. HighPoint does have a few options like the RocketRAID 4522SGL and the RocketRAID 2722A.

Q: Can I use this just plugging it into a usb3.1 port without one ot their carda?
