Be a Work in Progress: And Other Things I'd Like to Tell My Younger Self

This was a cute book for a few dollars. It has lots of inspirational quotes and thoughts. It's just a quote or inspiration per page. When I ordered I expected it to be an actual reading book but it turned out cute I'm just glad I didn't pay a lot for it.

Arrived early and in great condition

I am reading "Be A Work In Progress" slowly because too much, too fast loses the point of the book. So while I'm only about half way through, I am recommending this book now to my friends. Some days I read 2 to 3 pages. Some days, only 1 page because something resonates and I need to think about the words I have read. It's beauty is in its simplicity. I hate convoluted sentences. John's way of expressing his thoughts are straight-forward, direct and always kind. The illustrations are unique and well done. I would have avoided so much yellow. It is not always easy to read yellow printing. Black always works. That being said, however, the words printed on the page are more important than how they are printed on the page. A work in progress is basically life on planet earth. The thoughts expressed in this book encourage progress with mindfulness.
