Internal sleeve is fragile and breaks easy.
The product is great and really helps with troubleshooting fiber. The problem arises when the LC fiber connector is used. The connecter does not attach to the fiber light tester securely via the threads. The adapter has threads in it but does not reach the threads to secure it tightly causing the adapter to have enough play to break the fragile ceramic sleeve. With the sleeve broken, the light output is decreased significantly. I've tried to search for this part but was unable to find anything.UPDATE:I had purchased two of these, and now both have broken ceramic tubes. I've seen other similar products which offer an additional replacement tube.

Awesome fault locator and fiber tracer
I am a Network Engineer and use this for Single mode and Mutimode fiber it does an amazing job.The light is bright it can be seen through the coating.
