Good introduction to Scala
I think this is a good introduction to Scala. I bought this book for the Scala 3 updates and to read through what has changed, its a thorough treatment of Scala.- Readers may want to buy a Haskell book if interested in Category theory explanations, Or just Google "Haskell typeclassopedia" and related topics; that add a bit more to the explanation in this book.Minor quibble, one or two sentences missed the English parser check :) and the short url (references) I find a bit useless in a physical book, I'd rather have the references listed at the end of the chapter in one place.

Did not work for me, my mistake
Bought this to learn Scala, but stupidly thought a book covering Scala 3 was a good approach. Learned at work only use Scala 2, and 3 is a ways off before being usable, and something we would consider adopting down the road. As such all the Scala 3 discussions have to be skipped over making the read disjoint. Do not buy this unless you are on board with Scala 3 development.
