2019 Camry SE - Removes Throttle Lag (Detailed Review)
First things first, it is a quick install. It does NOT require powering off/unplugging the battery, letting the car die, or any other things that other competitors require to 'function properly with the car'.Simple quick Plug & Play. Just look up (preferably on youtube) how your pedal plug can be accessed easier and that's about it.(you can also eliminate any 'wrong way' plugging by taking both sides of the device's plugs and putting them together so you can see how it fits correctly. They mimic the vehicle's plug parts exactly.)What does this device do?-It removes all latency and "overthinking" that Electronic Pedals do by default.-Electronic Pedals tend to hesitate and think about what you're trying to do when you put your foot down to go. Which can be a nuisance and also dangerous for merging into traffic when you feel that need to over-push on the pedal just to get the system to react quicker so you can then accelerate.-Electronic Pedals can also make you feel like your car tends to jolt or shove forward abruptly at times just when you're trying to accelerate a bit and not even a lot. Especially if applying the brakes to slow and then pushing on the pedal to accelerate right after.Understand that there's 2 types of pedals for the most part:Mechanical Pedal (old school)Electronic Pedal (new school).-Old pedals had a direct physical link to the throttle control and reacted immediately to your foot pressure on the pedal.-New pedals read by an electronic plug being attached to the pedal, sending electronic signals to the throttle control to tell it how much foot pressure you're using on the pedal. Also, the more gears your vehicle has (6, 8 or 10 gear) can cause the system to act more wonky too when trying to decide what to do. Which again, seems to be completely eliminated with this device.Acceleration & SpeedDo you get more power from this device? Faster Acceleration? Even more speed?Power & Speed is a no.Acceleration? Yes & no.-I wouldn't buy this if you're looking for more speed output and power. That's not what this does.-It will give your vehicle its truest acceleration rate if there was no latency. But your actual speed is still always determined by your actual vehicle's tunings and capability.Who should really benefit from this device?-If you are a casual driver that takes their time to go from 0 to the speed limit? You don't need this device. You're driving with a mental ECO mode on by default and you'll see little difference.-If you're a casual driver that likes to reach the speed limit quickly, weave through traffic, get from Point A to Point B and not necessarily speed a lot but you don't like to drag and go slow? This is perfect for you.-If you're a speed demon, yes this is for you. Especially if you have throttle lag in the vehicle. The ModesF1 (Comfort/Regular),F2 (Sport), F3 (Sport+),Auto (Tries to imitate what it thinks you drive like on the fly),ECO (Should never be used)-Let's get ECO out of the way lol. It moves your vehicle so slow that it's practically dangerous to be on the mode even in its 9 highest setting. I wouldn't recommend bothering with it.-F1 is your vehicle's regular standard mode honestly. It is how your vehicle would simply move without throttle lag. The .1 through .9 settings have a little theme to them. Seems like .1 to .3 acts like a low-end responder to acceleration to make you more chill on the road. The .4 to .6 puts you in your car's best natural range of acceleration. And .7 to .9 gives your car a little sporty kick to your regular driving.-F2 is Sport and is pretty strong. Pushes your car to react to getting accelerated a lot faster than normal. The .1 to .9 are similar to the F1 in the way that higher means even more of it.-F3 is much more sensitive and quick to throwing your car like you were rev'd up prior to accelerating and is ready to just floor it even with the smallest touch. You don't need this mode really. Especially since it'll spin your tires out more than give traction for speed. And it's just a waste of gas. F1 and F2 work the best for effiency, acceleration and traction without loss. The device has other mode options that I won't get into.In conclusion, the summary is that this device is good for the type of driver that just likes to go when the light is green. Whether from 0 to speed limit or beyond.F1 is really all you need as the purpose of this device really is more to get rid of latency and response time than anything. It's not a speed booster or overtuner for the vehicle. It's a lag eliminator.

Works as intended
Works Exactly like you would expect. And like other users have said the third performance is very very responsive and I have found setting 2.4 is the most I ever need. Eco mode definitely works, but I personally did not see any improvement in gas milage from without it. Definitely would recommend if you dont want to spend the money on the pedal commander.

It Actually Works…
Hi, I heard a lot of people talking about “throttle controllers”, and believe me they do work. The install is not complicated, I think the most challenging part is that you are working in an awkward position when trying to remove the plug from the gas pedal. Once you find the correct position, the install is pretty simple. Smiles. GWNOW, is a very helpful vendor, they will work with you before hand, and also while you are trying to install the item if need be. The product works very well, and the provided instructions are helpful as well. If you buy this product you will not be disappointed. I like the fact that it has different modes, and it even has a one touch feature that goes from whatever mode to race mode very quickly. I am enjoying the “throttle controller, and you will enjoy it as well. Dexter H. 2022

No More Lag
The TROS 8 Drive works as it should. It has definitely taken care of the vehicle’s acceleration lag problem. I really like all of the drive settings it offers. There is a setting for all types of driving. It is very fun driving in Race Mode. This does not make your car faster like it seems. It does make your take off a lot quicker though even after the transmission shifts. I would highly recommend the 8 Drive if you are looking to get rid of that acceleration lag!

Incredible l
Amazing product. Easy to install and easy to use. It takes a little getting used too but once you figure it out, it’s incredible. Acceleration is way better than the stock version. Using shift mode with this device makes driving an automatic shift so much more fun. Works perfect with my 2021 Toyota Camry xse so far. Customer service is top notch.

Don't put in lock mode
It works for throttle response. I would recommend NEVER putting this in LOC mode, you may not be able to reverse it. My car parks outside, so, on a particularly cold morning, I put in throttle lock mode as it warmed up. Before the haters come out, yes I recorded and input the PIN I created. I had to remove it and go back to the old way or I couldn't drive the car. The directions are somewhat clear, but I was never able to get it "unlocked". Overall, do not recommend for this reason only.

The changeability is nice
18 Tundra 5.7LSo F1 drives almost like factory. F2 gives a little kick which I don't think I will be using it much. F3 tho, the truck becomes so un-driveable cuz the torque kicks in so early and it makes the truck jumpy if you are not careful with the accelerator. It's a nice device and does what it does, but it just does not serve my purpose so I might just return it.2 week impressionAfter using it for two weeks, I actually like it, and the reason is because I can tune "down" the truck. Yes, you saw right, tune DOWN. With the eco mode, I realized even the factory throttle setting can be a little "jumpy" for my daily drive if I am not careful with the pedal. With eco mode or F1 .3, it gives me a more linear acceleration and gear shift. Wife approves it too.2month impressionIt created an open circuit which drained the battery on the car. The return time has passed so I can't return it anymore, but I take it off and throw it away.
