does not use all steering wheel functions it did use all radio control functions and worked good i had a Kenwood radio and it worked without doing anything

I'm not sure. I installed it all(including this) at the same time and I didn't have the issue you are referring to.

No, it gets power from the factory wiring harness. At least this was the case on my VW.
