Viair 92175 175 PSI Safety Valve with 1/4" NPT

Q: Are these stamped or have test date on them or in the package?

The valve is stamped with “UV” and “NB” symbols. Set pressure tolerance is +/-3%.

Q: Max output on compressor is 150. Do I need a 150 psi valve?

If the tanks max pressure is 150 I would recommend a you put a valve with less pressure. The tank has a tag on it to give you the correct safety valve pressure

It is a safety relief valve to keep a tank from being pressurized over the tanks permissible rated pressure. This valve will open at 175 psi and will not close until the tank pressure is lower than that.
