I bought this for my grandchild(5). Her mother reports(rather wearily) that it HAS to be read every night! Needless to say it has been a big hit. The fact that the Queen selects a particular pair of knickers for a particular event really seems to appeal to girls. Their Mums may not be too thrilled if they try to emulate the Queen! A fun book. A simple idea which introduces a fairly wide vocabulary of "British" lingo.

The Queen's Nickers
This made a fun gift for a friend. My Grandchildren have this book & we always enjoy reading it as it is humerous & easy for littlies to understand the concepts.

Amazing... Impossible to get a hold of in the states.... Good quality, fast shipping, especially since it was international!

So funny
I'm not sure how much my 3 year old likes this book but I think it's hysterical. It's good to point out that queens where underpants just like everyone else.

A Crafting Inspiration
Jack, age 4 and Gabi, age 6 love this story. We spend many hours decorating paper cut-outs of boy and girl knickers. Who knew?

A jolly read to lighten the mood
This is a cute little book. I have the larger book too, but wanted to buy some smaller ones to keep handy on journeys etc. This is a very light-hearted little story, which pokes a bit of fun at the Queen. It's colourful and my daughters have all thought it very cheeky. My youngest...3 years old...likes to point out all the different types of knickers and the story is fun to read.I would recommend this book for its quirkiness, rather than any educational value...so I'd also recommend buying some other, more traditional, books to challenge your child's imagination and get them thinking for themselves. This is more of a quick fix of humour than a useful learning aid, but it gets five stars, because it doesn't try to be anything else other than a bit of fun...and we like fun.

Fits of laughter!
I didn't really expect such a good reception from my 5 y.o. son. He absolutely LOVES it. He already calls it 'his favourite book' (only gave it to him today) and also begged me to read it 5 times in a row! It's got a nice tone, wonderful, cute and clear illustrations, the pages look airy and clean and you can focus on the actions and words (which are not that many. I actually feel the need to add some of my own sometimes, but that is good because it can be something else every time). He particularly appreciates the Christmas knickers and has a fit of laughter whenever we read that page. So all in all, a great buy and I've just ordered The Giant Loo Roll, to keep the ball rolling. :-)

A funny book for youngsters
My 3 year old great niece thought that this book was very funny, particularly enjoying the idea of the knickers that had special hidden gadgets in them.

Disappointing
The book was second hand but described as good condition. The pages were bent. The front cover marked with pen and the book smelt horrible. I will not be able to use it. Very disappointing. I will have to buy another copy.A shame as the story is great.
