I wouldn't buy boots without the zipper. If you don't like the zipper don't use it, just lace up every time. To use the zipper lace up once then never again.

Q: What's with that green and white logo? it cheapens the look and it's too bright! it's sort'of lie putting white-wall tires on a humvee!!

It's not their logo. It's to signify that it's certified in Canada as a safety protective boot. Some jobs require it so it's easy to identify when buying
