These are cute little canisters and they are perfect for holding the two types of loose leaf tea I use most often.The canisters are small, only about 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide so they don’t hold a lot.The see through part of the lids are made of plastic. It feels similar to the plastic used in juice bottles (Plastic #1 - PET or PETE) The see through plastic part of both lids were already scratched when I unpacked the shipping box; one had more severe scratches than the other.One of the lids fits one canister snugly; the other lid fits the second canister loosely.The bottom of one of the two canisters is slightly concave and sits flat on the counter. The bottom of the other canister is slightly convex and does not sit flat, but rocks from side to side and will spin on the bump that protrudes from the bottom center of that canister.I am familiar with 301 and 304 grades of stainless steel, but not with the grade 201that is used to make these canisters.A quick internet search for grade 201 stainless steel revealed that it was developed as an inexpensive alternative to (expensive) high nickel content stainless steel by using less expensive Manganese to replace expensive Nickel in a 2:1 ratio.• 201 Stainless steel has 4.5% Nickel and 7.1% Manganese• 304 Stainless steel has 8.1% Nickel and 1% ManganeseNickel is harder than Manganese. Stainless that contains less Nickel will scratch more easily than high Nickel content stainless.201 Stainless steel also contains less Chrome (about 2%) which makes the corrosion resistance of 201 stainless steel lower than 304 stainless steel. It’s probably not a good idea to store salted nuts or foods in these canisters.The two canisters that I received didn’t arrive in perfect shape, and they probably wont last long enough to pass on to my grandchildren, but they are cute, they go with all the other brushed stainless finish appliances in the kitchen and they’re serving a purpose for now. I wish half star ratings were possible because these canisters fall somewhere between 3 Stars = It’s OK and 4 Stars = I Like itI received a promotional discount on the purchase price of this item to evaluate it and give my honest unbiased opinion and review for other Amazon shoppers. These containers are actually much bigger than i thought they would be, almost 6 inches tall. They will do quite nicely to store loose tea in and with the clear tops, I will be able to see what is inside of the canisters without opening. They look great in my kitchen as well, they match my stainless appliances. The tops go on fairly tight but are easy to remove.I purchased this item at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

Bought them for my brother for Christmas cause he's big into tea. They went over really well!

I was looking for a set of canisters to go with my newly remodeled kitchen. I wanted something decorative, yet practical. After looking and looking for several weeks, I stumbled across this set. This was the last touch to my kiches of black and these canisters were the final piece They arrived in a timely manner and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box they were smaller than I was expecting. But they are the perfect size after all, almost six inches tall. They will do quite nicely to store loose tea in and with the clear tops, I will be able to see what is inside of the canisters without opening.The lids do not have a rubber seal, but they do fit tightly onto the canisters. They are air tight but I was able to open them with out any problem. The stainless steel finish is a beautiful match to my stainless steel appliances and the canisters look gorgeous sitting on my new granite counter tops. Another great purchase from Amazon. I gave this four stars for the size instead of five stars. I was delighted to receive this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

I wasn't sure how big these canisters would be, but they are a very convenient size to keep on a kitchen counter, desk, or pantry. They arrived quickly, and I was eager to put them to use! I have been using them to store almonds and chocolate chips. I love having the clear, see through lids, so you can see exactly what, and how much is in them. They also look classy and stylish on my countertops. They match my stainless steel appliances well.I would love to have more of theses storage containers in my kitchen for other items like tea bags, sugar, trail mix, and other items. They are great quality, washable, and should last for a very long time. I will mention that after washing the lids, there was a bit of water stuck under the lids, which I was concerned about. However, I was able to press a paper towel against the area, and the water came out.I did receive this product at a discounted price for an honest evaluation. These are very cute, and well made.
