I love this "stick"; it says "magic is about to happen" for a reason.It is truly VERY simple to activate - nothing special to be done, and magic happens ! every time !(true, most new TVs already have support built-in the TV for screen mirroring, but I still need it for school lectures).The only complaint I have is that someone (either ActionTec or Amazon) is playing cheap on us... I bought a set like this in the past (from somewhere else), and I was VERY surprised to see that this new set I just bought through Amazon did not come with a short HDMI extender cable (female to male) I had in the past - c'mon, this costs penies, and I would like to see you stick this HDMI stick into the back of a wall-mounted TV ! I am not talking about a USB supply (which I assume was a 'special deal' last time I bought such a set) but this extender cable is truly a shame to be left out of the box (there is even space designed for it in the box...). Yes, the product description did NOT have it, so this is NOT missing as per the spec.Other than this - it is truly a GREAT product ! wholeheartedly recommended !

I read the other reviews about the ScreenBeam before I bought it and checked to ensure I had the correct phones and laptop to make it work. I bought this primarily to do away with having to use an HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV. It worked perfectly. Took less and 5 minutes to get it up and working. Works off of my phone too. I have an old Galaxy S7 Edge and it connected easily, once I figured out which area to press on the phone, my issue. I recommend this product, it is great. I have already watched a couple of Disney Plus movies with it from my laptop and I just got it today.

This unit after 30 minutes was too hot to touch. Running it off the HDMI port of a Kodak Luma 75 with the power plugged into the projector USB, I found this unit to be glitchy at best. It took a couple of minutes to sync up and display my Galaxy S21U home screen. The picture was good with very little pixelation around the icons though.Video streaming from Netflix was marginal and the audio never did run without glitches, intermittently losing audio at least once every 30 seconds. Very irritating when trying to demo it to the family. What really disappointed me was the ScreenBeam overheating. A little heat I could understand, but this was too hot to touch and began to heat up my Pocket Projector in proximity to the HDMI port. I finally had to shut it down before it ruined my projector. Letting it cool down and trying again, I experienced the same results.Thinking that this may have been a projector issue heating the ScreenBeam, I tried it on two of my TVs only to find that the unit would heat up simmerly in under 20 minutes on each. Running the Pocket Projector with my HDMI out from my laptop had no heat issues whatsoever, thus isolating the problem to the ScreenBeam.I have decided to send this unit back for a refund rather than try another unit.
