I was looking for an cpu air cooler, after reading the specifications I decided to give it a try. Installation was pretty straight foward and it didn't take more than 15 minutes. I'm using this on the Ryzen 7 5800X since it doesn't come with cooler. The build quality is great and works as described, it is a big air cooler so make sure you have the room for it. It does clear my ram sticks and my tinted side pane. Fan speeds are 1200 to 1220 push and pull the air out. The led lights are also nice touch and I have paired with my B550 board, on idle I get 33°C on idle and up to 63°C on full load which is ~10°C on idleI was able to overclock and undervolt my cpu and achieve these temps as I did with an 240mm AIO water coolerat a fraction of the cost. The fans do not sound loud at all on full speed, I'm very impressed with build and quality and I hope it last for at least for 5 years, it is also AM5 compatible which is also great for the up coming chips.Update#1 03/22/23It still works flawlessly, I did upgrade back on October to R9 5900x and still performs like a champ.

Watch out for what case you buy, as this fan system was too tall and the glass side panel on mine no longer fit properly. This might seem intimidating with all the pieces, but it's really not that difficult. the hardest part was getting the fan springs off the radiator. No issues with temperature, or fans. comes with Y-cable so you only need 1 connector on motherboard. i would buy this again.

Was satisfied with purchase, I do own 12400, and I don't even hear any noise even when I play heavy CPU demanding games. Had to do some tweeting, but it worth the price

Drop the temps 35% on average from my wraith cooler that’s great!!! It’s just so tall I can’t fit it in any case…. Lights look cool as well once synced up to motherboard

This cooler really hits a sweet spot when it comes to price, performance, size and installation. It's not as huge and heavy as the truly hardcore "big air" units, though it IS very tall. Make sure you've got enough clearance in your case for its height! I can't speak to the Intel experience, but the retention mechanism for AMD Socket AM4 is fantastic. One of the easiest installations I've ever done on an aftermarket heatsink. The included fan is quiet enough at full speed that I don't bother slowing it down at lower temps. The AS500 comes with a second set of fan clips in the box, should you wish to add another fan for push/pull operation. I haven't done this, but having the option is nice, and many manufacturers require you to purchase additional fan clips separately, so much appreciated, Deepcool! With this cooler strapped to it, my Ryzen 5 3600X (not overclocked, mind) stays under 65C under full-load stress testing. For the price and convenient design, I'm more than satisfied. The addressable RGB cap is a nice bonus, too!

Better than the original cooler that came with my cpu and dropped temps pretty significantly

This CPU cooler is pretty amazing. I've watched videos where it holds up even compared to noctua more expensive coolers and they're absolutely right. It's about to cool my Intel 12700k no problem. Of mine isn't overclocked or anything but for a $70 cooler that's still impressive.It was also extremely easy to mount even for my first build. And it came with lga 1700 mounting hardware out the box.It also looks awesome. The rgb is subtle but looks really cool and clean.The only thing to note is that it's quite tall, about 165mm so make sure your case can fit it.

AS500 DeepCool CPU CoolerIt is advertised that it supports the 12th & 13th gen Intel CPUs but the bracket is not included in the box (most of the time). If you need the bracket, DeepCool requires you to send Proof-of-Purchases of the CPU and the Cooler. Also, you must provide to them the serial number of the cooler in question. Within a few days, they will contact you and let you know that you do in fact qualify to get their LGA1700 bracket and that they will be forwarding a request for shipment to their shipping department. A few days later, the shipping department will send you a tracking number indicating that the product has been shipped. In a week to ten days, you should receive the bracket. In the meantime, while you are waiting for the bracket, they will send you several requests to fill out a survey letting them know how well you are satisfied with their product support service. I went through this scenario twice already on separate builds.The product itself is very good! If you do not mind receiving it piece-by-piece over two to three weeks...it may be the cooler for you. It is fairly easy to install and cools the CPU well. I cannot complain about its quality, functionality and visual appeal. It seemed to be carefully and pridefully packaged. I recommend it for patient customers. If you are a frequent PC builder and need your project completed by a certain date---this may not be for you. Their support people informed me that some shipped to the field with the brackets in the box but the vendors cannot tell which ones have it and which ones do not. These coolers are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. I recommended they give the products with the LGA1700 brackets a different part number---such as AS500/17 or something so vendors could differentiate them. They responded that it would be too much trouble to do so because so many of the earlier models are already in the field (they completely missed my point). So...you have been warned. Saw a review from kitguru about this cooler and decided to buy this instead of the D15 or Dark Rock Pro 4. Because of the way the pipes are laid out, they make better direct contact with the Ryzen core chiplets so the AS500plus performs better than the D15 is some case.I also liked the slimmer build and easy install. On my 5950x it kept the cpu temps below 70C even during repeated benchmarks and cinebench runs with PBO turned on. Scored over 28K with just 3200mhz ram. Noise level is also very low but the tone is a bit high pitched.I did not want to mess with an AIO so this was the best option I had, and I am very happy with the performance.UPDATE: 6 months in and this is still performing optimally.

Amazing cooler for it's price, system idles at 28-30 and 58-60 under full load, i overclocked another 500mhz and now it idles at 30-32 and 68-70 under full load. It has some nice RGB and is super silent. When i'm gaming it sits at 40 with a max of 58. Highely recommend this cooler. I've watched reviews and seen this thing out perform coolers twice it's price. 5/5

I’ll try and keep this sweet. I recently bought a computer off of a friend and it only had the stock cooler on the Ryzen 5 CPU. The temperature at an idle was 60°C while on load was a crazy 87°C while playing Cyberpunk on Ultra settings. The CPU is rated to 90°C so I figured I should upgrade to this cooler.WOW! Instant enhancement for the thermals! The PC now idles at 31°C and holds steady at 60°C! So, essentially, if you’re gonna run ANY game less intense then Cyberpunk it will serve you great!
