100% satisfaction. I bought a ' good as new ' for two pounds and nine pence. A hardback arrived in pristine condition within a few days. What a great story, well written, believable characters and I'll definitely watch out for this author. Well done Amazon...:-)

read this book absolutely
I immediately fell in love with this book with its beautiful cover: you can see Hannah. The catchphrase: "Your husband thinks your daughter is an Angel. You know it's different."We find Hannah there, who at seven years old still doesn't speak. Her father considers her a sweet Angel, except that her mother Suzette loves her daughter above all else but she sees the difficulties that nurses and teachers have with her. Until the day Hannah says something scary. Suzette takes this as a joke, but she is more and more worried about her daughter's little games. Would she be in danger because of Hannah.I immediately hooked on the story, which was so captivating, moving, full of suspense and twists and turns with very engaging characters. For a first novel, the author surpassed herself, a novel about a very ordinary family where appearances can be deceiving.

Great!
I’ve read a LOT of these modern female-driven psychological thrillers - desperately looking for another Gillian Flynn. This book was a pleasant surprise. The characters are well-drawn and the pacing is great. No boring bits! I read the whole thing in (pretty much) one sitting. There isn’t really a twist, which might disappoint some fans of the genre, but I thought it was fine. I also liked the detail of the protagonist’s chronic illness (Crohn’s Disease) - it really added an extra dimension to the character. Overall, this book has just the right level of ‘darkness’ and is entertaining. I was sad when it ended! Not quite as ‘literary’ as Gillian Flynn, but SO much better than the vast majority of her imitators.
