These are delicious and I can definitely tell my teeth feel cleaner after I have 1 or 2 of them. I sometimes have issues with fake sugars and have before with xylitol, but this is the good stuff and have zero ill effects. I think there's a big difference between processed corn xylitol and birch xylitol. This brand uses the good stuff. My toddler loves these and doesn't feel they're too spicy, as mint sometimes can be. My favorite of this brand is definitely the cinnamon, but the rest of my family prefers the mint. It's nice to have a huge bag on hand as it lasts quite a while. We do have a dog so keep these high up in the panty well out of reach, and I remind my family constantly not to do anything that might make it accessible to the dog. I have the majority at work, however, where I keep a large bag in my desk, and coworkers often come in and ask me for one. The large bag lasts forever and makes it very economical, even with lots of coworkers around constantly asking for one.

Dr Ellie is very passionate about what she does. Her ultimate hope is to spread the word about how to take care of your teeth in a non invasive and affordable way.Most of the products she recommends in her total health care system are not her own products. This is a xylitol product that she has created with her name. You have to be careful because not all xylitol gums and mints are created equally. Some contain other artificial sweeteners which cause problems. Others don't contain as much xylitol. Some are more expensive or just taste plain bad. This is a large bag of good tasting mints. They remind me of those famous mints that come in a tin can except these are not that strong and they are actually good for you.I will tell you a short story.A few years ago, I went to the dentist and they told me that I had receding gums in two areas. They wanted to do a gum transplant or something horrible like that. The periodontist told me that it can not get better, that it was most likely genetic and just something I have to have surgically done to correct.I was l already familiar with Dr. Ellie, but have to admit, had been a little lazy with my oral care at home.I said to the periodontist that I would prefer to watch and wait, and see if I can do some things to reverse the problem. He told me that he was fine with watching and waiting, but there was no way it could get better without surgery, and that it may get very bad very quickly if I don't have the surgery.I got hard core about using Dr. Ellie's simple system including using xylitol. I can feel the difference in my super sensitive teeth after meals once I started using these mints. They are a perfect balance on mint and sweet—not super strong.They also serve as a way for me to stop snacking because I’m being mindful that my teeth need a rest throughout the day. Even though I snack on nuts and seeds and fruit, etc—it wears your teeth down plus acidity sucks. These mints neutralize that acidity and helps pull saliva in to protect teeth. I’ll keep these on hand!

I am an avid follower of Dr Ellie and in the process of switching to her system with amazing results. I have tried competing products and decided to try out Zellies mints. As mints go these are an awesome product. Competitively priced, the correct strength and I like that they dissolve slowly to extend the effect of Xylitol in the mouth.My only somewhat minor complaint is that it is a real pain resealing the bag once opened. Seems like it never seals quite correctly and is prone to reopening which is annoying as the mints can fall out. Surely it must be possible to find packing that zips up a bit more securely, there are endless products that do it better.

Originally, I did what the dentist told me to do, flossing, and brushing after each meal but the gums kept receding.I listened to Dr Ellie Phillip's talk about receding gums on youtube and it made sense to me. SO I stopped flossing, and tried out her complete care package.The first day I used just the mints, I noticed a nice smooth feel to my teeth and gums after using them as directed. I did some research to find mints that are made from all natural ingredients. There's only one ingredient I can't pronounce and it's considered FDA safe. So take that for what it's worth. As a mint, it works well to refresh my breath and tastes good
