Q: what does it means when it says "box 1 must order box 2" or "box 2 must order box 1"? does that mean I have to order both boxes? Thank you

Yes. You will need to order both boxes. Box 1 is just the boards and box 2 is just the stand and side rails. I just order box 1 and ended up returning. Once I figured out I needed both boxes the cost more than I was willing to spend. Hope this helps.
