Mixet MTH-CLR Clear Temperature Control Handle (SHD7800)

While I've only owned this particular item only for a couple of months, it appears to be an an exact replacement for the previous temperature control handle. The original model was installed over 27 years ago, and this is the third replacement, but the first in the last 15 years. Not too bad for an item that, except for one screw, is totally made out of plastic. The question is: Would I have this product installed if I were to have a new home built? No. However, it is much cheaper to occasionally replace this handle, than it would be to have a complete new shower fixture installed. With that being said, in the past, this product was not easy to locate. I really do appreciate being able to buy it through Amazon, since I did not have to pay any shipping charge.

The Mixet temperature control handle seemed to be an exact match for the old one. Unfortunately, the Mixet replacement valves aren't. Which makes the handle irrelevant.
