SafeAir badges have a 1 year refrigerated shelf life. Yes, they need to be refrigerated.

Depends on how long, it should be kept in a freezer. If it is refrigerated, that would greatly increase the life of the SafeAir product. If not refrigerated, not sure of the time limit. I would contact SafeAir if you believe the product has been compromised.
