Disappointing. Not interesting. Not fun.
I was really disappointed with this game. This was our first Brainbox game, as a family ranging from age 5 to 87 we have a wide collection of board games appealing to us all. This game appeals to none of us. On the basis of this purchase, I will not be buying another Brainbox game.'Brain challenge'... I think not. If you are looking for an educational, fun, geography game, take my advice and give this a miss.Positives:Lovely durable box, durable cards (made of board), vibrant coloured illustrations and good mini maps for the location. Now the negatives:First and foremost, it wasn't fun for my 6 year old who was expecting fun facts and questions relating to the country on the card. Instead, he and I were astonished by the ridiculously dull questions relating only to the illustration on the card.Example: France. (Four children playing in a fountain with the Eiffel Tower in the background)Q2 how many children can you see?Q3 are all the children in the water?Q4 is everyone standing up?Etc, etc... Who cares! Yawwwwwn. What a waste of an opportunity to actually make it about interesting places and actually learn something.BRAINBOX.PLAY TOGETHER, LEARN TOGETHER.???This is a picture memory game which has very little to do with the world.Barely informativeBarely interestingNot Fun.

Good - makes me look like cultural-savage
Our daughter, to our surprise, has a favourite author; Roald Dahl (which at the same time is the only author she knows of). Even more surprising, she learned quite a lot about his life and his books at school. And it turns out she has actually read most of his books. So this Brainbox made a perfect birthday gift. We already have a couple of other brain boxes, that we enjoy much; the simplicity of concept and educational aspect are phenomenal.Playing this one with her is no fun for us parents; being from non-English decent, the topic Roald Dahl is somewhat alien to us as parents. So we get our bottoms-kicked whenever we play this game, much to our daughter's delight.

Not what I expected but ok
Cute little Peppa box, not quite what I expected it was, I maybe didn’t read the description well. The idea is you show your child the card and speak about the picture then on the other side there is pictures which ask what the close up pictures are. I thought it would maybe have different questions rather than just pictures but it’s ok to sit for a little while with your child and occupy them.

Fun, educational, simple and durable
I bought this game for my two grandchildren aged 8 and 10. We liked the simplicity of it, being able to play a game within five minutes of opening the box. The children enjoyed playing it, and a game can last as long as you want it to. It is educational, but does not depend on any previous knowledge, being more of a memory game, so younger children can compete with older ones without being at a great disadvantage. It is durable, colourful and attractive, and without the usual multiplicity of small parts that can get lost or swallowed. Bought another game from this series at the same time, and will probably buy more for other grandchildren. One little niggle, but serious enough to have a star deducted; I spotted one mistake on one of the cards (it's the one about clouds), which makes me wonder whether there may be other mistakes. In an educational game I think that getting facts right should be top priority.

Simple but challenging game
This is a well.packaged and well presented game that is actually more challenging than it sounds because of the number of questions and the time goes so fast! The cards are sturdy and we'll presented. The only slihht negative is that there aren't loads of cards in the pack so it wont likely last very long, particularly if played with more than one player, therefore the price may be considered slightly high. Otherwise worth a purchase for a quick brainteaser
