This is just unabashedly terrible. The rubber roller actually deforms when you try to load it, loading it can be either a breeze or a 10 min ordeal depending on fate. I can not count the times I have tried to use this product only to have the tape cut because I moved at an odd angle. I wanted to like this, I find normal tape dispensers to be infuriating but this took all the problems of the old design and threw in some more for good measure. This is suitable mainly for quirky shopkeepers that don't ship much and like the color scheme. Using it day-in and day-out is just not feasible if you have a life that needs leading.

While I struggled a bit to understand how Zippy works, once I got it I knew I never wanted to use another tape gun ever again. Box taping doesn't have to be a violent process when you have Zippy because it cuts any gauge tape cleanly with a gentle change in direction. Also, tape doesn't have to hang out of the gun while at rest like most guns, with Zippy the tape is always enclosed within the mechanism so storage is simple & tape is never wasted. Loading is a breeze too & customer service in my experience has been over the top awesome.

I pack a lot of boxes every day. The first roll of tape it worked great. After changing the roll it worked for a little while then the tape started bunching up & not starting on the package. I didn't have time to mess with something that quit working so I went back to using my old tape gun. Later I checked again to see if I could find the problem. After wasting a lot of tape I thought to clean the roller. That made it start working again. I don't have time to clean the roller every time I change the tape. For me this would be every few hours so I will be looking for a new tape gun.

Piece of crap. The tape constantly gets jammed and you have to take the tape out, cut it and re-feed it.... Don't waste your money on this unit.... I haven't even used the roll of tape it came with and I'm wishing I could return it...

Took me a minute to figure out how to use it properly but, once I got the hang of it, I found it much easier to use than traditional tape guns. The tape that comes with it leaves a lot to be desired (it breaks super easily and you have to press it down to get it to stick to boxes well,) but if you use it with a higher quality packing tape, this tape gun is a good product.

This dispenser does not work well at all for taping up boxes. The design cuts the tape when going around the corners of the box. Worse, is the tape itself that is included with the roller. I spent last night taping up 20 moving boxes to fill today and all my boxes came uptaped before i could even start. I don't usually write reviews, but to walk into my office and see that the tape peeled itsrlf off of all my cardborad boxes was a huge upset. Not happy at all with this product

Made my move SOOOOO much easier! The rubber roller had to be cleaned a couple times, it did not like news print. But otherwise, worked so much better than any other tape dispenser I have had. Great invention!

This would be great if this was the first tape gun that you ever used, but after using a traditional tape gun for 20+ years, learning to use this is not easy. You have to mentally force yourself to hold it and use it differently.
