Where Is My Dad?

Good for parents who don't know what to say
I would have given 5 stars, but was just a bit disappointed with the story. There was absolutely nothing in it that my daughter had already been thinking of saying to my granddaughter, when the time is right. Don't judge me, this is just my opinion on purchasing this, thinking that it had more to say, then just basic info. Sorry

Amazing book recommend to all children asking this question!
I purchased this book off of my daughter’s baby registry and tonight we read it together. She was looking for a book that would help her with later introducing the discussion with her son. This is the perfect book for that! We loved that it didn’t name one reason why a father isn’t active or around. It was a very light book that helps young readers feel loved and supported from within themselves and the people already around them. Both my daughter and I look forward to other books from this amazingly talented author!

LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!
As a single mom myself, I truly appreciated the thought behind this book. It will assist in encouraging a child whether they have a present dad or not. It is light hearted, beautifully depicted and overall powerful. It is written in a way that children and adults alike can understand the different family dynamics there could be. The illustrations are so beautiful and the colorful pages are really inviting. My favorite part was the affirmation page. I think that was very innovative and my daughter enjoyed making her own affirmations. It is a wonder that there aren't more books like this and I appreciate the author for being so innovative. Trust me, whether there is a Dad- or Father figure in the picture this book is still a gem and worthy of being adding to any home's library.

I really wanted to like this book
I really wanted to like this book. I’m a single mom and was hoping to read a book to my daughter that could give her some hope. This was a hard read for a four year old to understand. I think the words used are for older children 9 and up.The book was like a parent talking to a child. The words used were not word that are in younger children vocabulary.I will continue to look for a book that my daughter will understand as a 4 yr old.

Loved this
I loved this book and the way it described the feelings correctly for kids with missing parents! It helped my daughter put her feelings into perspective, and it really helped her understand it isn’t her fault. I love this book, and my 9 year old daughter did too! It is beautifully written and was just what I was looking for to help her understand a situation that is out of her hands.

Great message for young kids
This book is brilliant and beautiful inside and out. The colors and illustrations are magnificent and pop. The message is a message so many children face in the US today and I love the way she answered the question so that not only a young child could understand but also to keep the answer light and give her daughter hope for the future! It was very inspirational and inspiring and as a single mom, once my son starts asking about his dad I’ll be sure to bring this book out again! Well done ♥️

Beautiful read for single parents
I am a single mom of boys and wanted to start showing them that they can be whole without a dad in their life and loved how they gave words of affirmations for the little girl and encouraged forgiveness for the dad even though they don't know why the dad isn't around. My sister saw it when she visited us and it made her cry.

Beautiful
Mums are often the strongest dads. There are many types of dad and they are all over the place, sometimes they aren’t even men. This really highlights the dangers of pushing for nuclear families and the pressures it puts on children.

Didnt quite fit with our family message
Very lovely book but didnt fit with our family message or description. And the only other thing i would "warn" about is it ends with the child praying which might not fit in with peoples beliefs.

Not what I was hoping
Too broad. A lot of cliches.
