Q: so if i go off my waist size i should be in m/l but according to height and weight i should be in 2xl. so which one do i follow.

They run short and small and are supposed to fit snug, If you are tall maybe go in between with the xl

Q: What are laundey instructions?

Machine wash cold with like colors, it says to dry on low but I took mine out of the washer and hung them!

they are supposed to be form fitting, but I think they run on the small and short side. . . I'd say split the difference and go just xl

Q: Compared to the fleece set, which is warmer?

This is going to be a very long answer here. Fleece can be made out of any material. Most likely I am assuming you are talking about a cotton or a poly fleece or a mix of the two. If that is the case, wool is better. Not only does is it better insulation, it is allot better when it gets wet. It can become wet through a variety of (or combination of) factors like sweat, rain, snow, slush, etc. Polyester is also it completely useless when it gets wet. Wool keeps about 70% of it's insulation if it is completely soaked...Poly, you are better off if you never had it on, if you get soaked Cotton is not much better but if your budget can not afford wool, than I would go with cotton Wool you can also wear longer as well. You do not need to wash wool as much as you do cotton. You can wear Polyester more times, but I do not recommend poly for much of anything.
