Cheap feel and non-functional file make this one not recommended.
I am a multitool collector, hoarder and user, and own several SOG multitools. The PowerAccess Deluxe is the worst of the bunch. Made in China, it has an overall cheap feel, and the tools can accidentally extend more than 180 degrees upon opening which lends to the entry level feel of this multitool. The main and serrated blades are extremely thin in the edge to spine dimension, and worst of all is the "file" that is so smooth as to not be able to shape a fingernail. Shame on SOG for releasing this multitool. The gear pivot is, however, excellent as it magnifies your grip force, but does not make up for an otherwise lackluster multitool. I was able to cut through a 10-penny nail with no problem using the PowerAccess Deluxe's hard wire cutter. There are many multitools in this price range, and just about any of them would be better than the PowerAccess Deluxe. Consider anything from Leatherman or Gerber, and if you want the best of the best try the Victorinox Swisstool or Spirit. Or if you want to stick with SOG, the PowerLock is a better multitool at $22 less, and though its file is not great at least it functions. I would recommend a Leatherman or Gerber in this price range. Thanks.

Awesome Multitool!
I ordered this Multitool hoping for a lighter, but sturdier multitool with easily accessible tools. Initially I opted for the Powerlock, but was swayed by this new addition from SOG promising exactly that. The tool initially was a bit tight on the opening, but has since then loosened up which allows for easy opening and closing (like a balisong), the bit set I thought was a bit much but has proven very useful. Overall this tool has literally everything you need and you don't need to open the multitool (like with most multitools) to get the inside tools they are on the outside hence the term "PowerAccess". If you want a lightweight, but sturdy multitool that will withstand medium to heavy use (I am in the U.S Army, and use this Multitool for EVERYTHING) then this is the one for you!

No regrets
First I was hesitant to purchase this tool, despite of the bad review on multitool forums, I carry on.Functionality wise, you can’t beat the 21 tools in it. For practicality you can do everything like a Surge can do, like cutting thick gauge wire is an ease, the lack of having the convenience of a scissors in which you can also do with the sharp blade. Innovation are superb. I am an aircraft line mechanic so screw bit changing for various aircraft models is a breeze. For the quality of material, I believe it is made from galvanize steel. I am still in the process of beating this bad boy. So far it won’t let me down. Before there was Leatherman Free P4, there was sog a balisong like accessing the plier, and it isn’t magnetic so no worries of metal fillings accumulation. Plus you won’t knock your finger opening this, like the one I saw on youtube.Downside is the accessing the middle tools, such as the can opener, even if you unlatched the lock mechanism it is still hard to pry it out. But I’ll be use to it. The importance is that I have The most tools that I need in my waist, without coming back and fort to my toolbox.I say the price is reasonable for the innovations that it offers. If i am going to choose between a gerber and a sog, definitely I will go with the sog.Edit update tip: do you know you can slightly loosen the torx screw holding the tools? Viola 100 percent one hand operation! Tools will drop automatically when you release the locking mechanism, from there you can choose the tools by your thumb.

Perfect for small task. But does have flaws.
Delivery was fast. Am looking to use this for gun maintenance and normal use, nothing heavy. People forget multi tools are just a small version of a big tool. So small tools do only small jobs. Not meant to cut down trees or demo a house. Get the tools needed for each job. Now;Con: Tool came a bit crooked. filer is dull, could not file a nail, a few bits are bad and biggest problem for me is 1/4 bit does not grab it is very easy to fall off. biggest FLAW!!! Pliers are not held by bolt or pins. Instead the protractor plates are only mounted to housing. For a really sturdy tool there should be 2 bolts holding pliers together to the frame of the tool. Bad design on SOGNow pros: knife and pliers and bit holder at fully closed mode is great. Saw blade is great and love the lock mechanism. But it won't lock if more than one tool is out, so be careful. Pouch is great to carry tool, just be careful bit holder tends to slip and may cause bits to get lost. Over all happy with small tool to assist me in daily work.

Teeny Tiny Tools
I love multitools and have had many of them in the past - SwissTools, Victoronix Swiss Army Knives, Leatherman, etc... and I like SOG. I do. But this tool is just plain silly. The tools in it are so thin and tiny I feel like I could snap the knives like twigs. It's truly comical on a tool of this size that the blades and other pieces internal to it are so tiny.I wish I could find a perfect multitool - but such a thing does not exist. I'd like a tool that had large blades/scissors and interchangeable flat bits like the Leatherman, smooth/compound leveraged pliers like SOG, and the durability/bottle opener from a SwissTool. But sadly, the best I can do is a Leatherman. Was hoping the SOG would fit the bill, but while it seems okay (the action of the pliers and their leverage is awesome, but that's really the only thing the tool is good at), I'm just going to keep this in my car as a backup tool for breakdowns or something because it's too flimsy for EDC.
