Little disappointed that they couldn't stay closed with my rope necklace that I made, so isn't doing what I need unfortunately, stronger magnets would be good

magnets work well, for the one set i have used, in that they hold bracelet on fine during an active day... but leaving blue residue on skin, and metal discolouring to look dark staining on side that is in contact with wrist.blue residue comes off easy enough, but metal remains discoloured.
