Everything you need for car repairs, great set up, sturdy case, tons of awesome tools!
This is a great toolset at a fantastic price! I purchased this for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He needed a good mix of mechanic and regular tools and this set went above and beyond his expectations. It was a gift and he was in awe when he saw the variety of tools and the amazing set up in the case. He is very particular about toolboxes/cases as many do not hold the tools correctly and they end up being a complete mess and usually most get lost. This case holds each tool snug and tight. It has an awesome case in general how it opens from the middle and has the circle turning lock. It ensures the tool case won't just pop open if hit just right. I was concerned the tools would fall out of their spaces when carrying upright but as I said, the case holds each tool tightly. The tools my husband was most impressed with in this set were the ratchet extenders. Ratchet extenders are just not something you think about buying but something you need. After we got this set, my husband ended up replacing a starter in an older vehicle. The extenders were a life saver and made the job take about 15 minutes compared to 1 or more hours simply due to the location of the nuts/bolts. The were very hard to get to but the extenders got the job done. The only issue I noticed was when we first got the toolset, the hex keys had poked through their plastic packaging and a few were floating about. Not a big issue (not even issue, really) by any means but do be careful when first opening so you do not lose any (only 2 or 3 had actually fallen out in ours). His mechanic friends were also impressed by the variety of tools included in this set, especially because it is not a mechanic specific set but rather mixed. His friends also said the tools were high quality and included most of what you would need for most car repairs.

Great set for the home handyman
After years of collecting cheap tools and tool sets which break quickly and get lost I figured it was about time to get a decent set and try to keep it together for once. After shopping around at Lowes and Walmart I found a couple of quality sets but found they either were somewhat small (lacking everything I needed) or very expensive ($200+). I checked Amazon and found this set that looked pretty comprehensive for $100 which seemed reasonably priced for everything included. The tools in the set are well made and feel solid in you hand, not cheap / flimsy like the sets I've had in the past. The set consists of pretty much everything you would need for your average home handyman short of a hammer (which is one of the few decent tools I already had on hand). Many of the socket sizes are repeated multiple times in varying lengths which seems like a waste at first until you run into a job where you need a longer / shorter socket at which point you'll be quite happy to have them. The case itself is pretty solid. The "Stanley" symbol on the front acts as a lock which you twist to open the case. I saw one review which indicated the lock fell out / didn't engage property but I haven't had that problem. Like all sets made like this I would expect the various sockets / tools to begin falling out of their positions over time but for right now they are holding up.Planning on using this set for a long time (assuming the rest of my family actually puts it back together after using something).

Good starter set
Pretty much what you expect in a combo tool set- "jack of all trades, master of none." Tools are made by Stanley, so quality is OK. However, I think Stanley has a much better reputation in construction tools, and is less well-known for mechanics tools. And this is a mechanic-style tool set. This is predominantly a socket set, with other common hand tools thrown in. This is half SAE and half metric. The 1/4 sockets are great and fairly complete in all sizes. The 3/8 are a little less complete with a few oddities- there is no 3/4 socket in the 3/8 drive set. 11/16 -yes. 13/16 - yes. But not 3/4. I'm sure there is a metric equivilent (17mm?) so they don't include both. Still, this is not how most sets are assembled. Also same issue in 13mm. An SAE 1/2' wrench is the same as 13mm, so in some cases there is no 13mm wrench, socket, etc.As you'd expect, the set is lacking in common add-ons: there is one extender per drive size for the sockets. A good selection of screwdrivers, but only one pair of pliers. The wrench set has 4 SAE wrenches and 4 metric wrenches - so 8 total. They hit the common sizes, but sometimes you need a 5/8, an 11/16 and also a 3/4 wrench. This set does not have all of these. Also, the sizes for these does not get into any of the larger size. If you need to work on anything bigger than about 3/4" this set won't do it.On the good side: The case is well made and thought out. It has a nice and easily used locking system instead of the usual plastic tab locking. The tools stay in place, and the tool sizes are well marked where each tool piece goes.I bought this set for my (older 1988) motorhome, and we will be doing extended traveling over the next 18 months. It will be fine as the baseline starter set, and has nice organization and coverage of sizes. However, I will also be carrying a second toolbox with additional pairs of pliers, some larger sockets, and full sets of box end wrenches. With luck I hope that 90% of the time I will just be able to grab this toolset, but I know that some of the time I will be looking in my extra toolbox for what I need.I rated this 4 stars because I this it does a pretty good job of being what it is intended to be, and the tool quality is pretty good as relates to home/hobby tools. However, don't con fuse this with thinking it will meet every need. It won;t.
