Q: How does this work on 4c hair, is it drying or moisturizing? Can you use with other products for extra moisture or will it cause flakiness?

I use a leave in moisturizer, and then the Honey/ginger gel. I find that whatever moisture I have in my hair, it keeps it in. It is heavy on the hair, but I live in the South so it is great for keeping the humidity out. It does not dry the hair, and it doesn’t become crunchy. That has been my experience, I hope that helps.

Q: Whats the best way to refresh with this product? I live in a high humidity area and my refreshes are never successful

I would use a 360 sprayer with distilled water or a good curl refresher spray. You don’t want a lot of build-up. Scrunch lightly while it’s damp, but don’t get too rough with your fingers. It may frizz. Hope this works for you.

Q: Is this product safe to use on color-treated hair? I am thinking of going to an unnatural shade and am worried about damaging or fading the color.

I have colored hair, and did not notice any fading from this product. It feels moisturizing and like it is protecting my hair.
