Q: what are the dimensions of the box part?

It's about 2" x2" and about 1/2 " in thickness. Really nice to have.

Q: Why is the description for a book or game?

I don't know. It had been correct and a few days ago when I saw this I sent a report to Amazon about the wrong information but they have not corrected it as yet. You can help speed up the process if you would also report it.

Q: Anyone use this with the cobra 75wxst radio? heavier handset makes me wonder if it's too heavy for this.

I'm not sure what handset I have, but this thing is strong! It's not string, it's a small cable.

Q: How does it attach to mike

The keeper has a nylon rope you loop around the mic button and then cinch down to how long you want the mic to hang. The extra string can then be trimmed off if desired.
