Picks up onvif IP cameras readily
So far, so good. The nvr is being used without a hard drive because I'm using it to attach 2 IP cameras to my analog cctv dvr. This nvr has a BNC output which allows me to take the feed from this and input it into the dvr.I have an SW 8 channel dvr and a Vitoquen 16 channel dvr and this seems to be on par with these in terms of software. The IP cameras were detected very easily, unlike with the SW dvr where I had to practically jump through hoops to get both cameras to appear. I cannot connect with the QR code for android - most peculiar, it read the iphone QR immediately as I brought the phone round to the screen but won't read the android QR code, so I think something must be wrong with that code. It reads the other code, I forgot what it is, I think it was for a cloud connect but I didn't know what to do with it for my phone once it read it since it showed a combination of letters and numbers.Like the Chinese branded dvrs I see where it requires a special ActiveX add on but my pc would not allow me to install it because it was unsigned so I cannot connect directly to the dvr via the pc, but I can view it through the 16 channel dvr by stopping the tour and setting it to the IP camera channel and making changes there. My cameras are 720p so I notice that screen images don't look that good, but I will try and set the output for the NVR and see if that makes a difference. My only complaint is with the packaging. The NVR box was wrapped with bubble wrap and what looks like multiple layers of packaging tape so by the time I got the box (it was sent by Singapore mail), all the bubbles had burst and the box was dented in several places but fortunately nothing happened to the NVR or its contents.
