Garbage Disposal Strainer and Stopper with Decorative Disposal Flange in Black, Fit 3.5 Inch Standard Drain Hole

I have a Blanco sink and the OEM stopper doesn't work well at all. It would slip so far down into the drain opening that I'd have to get a spoon to pry it out! I bought this insert, and it works perfectly. I leave it in the sink all the time and it drains very well. If I need to fill the sink with water, I push it down and it seals perfectly. Any time I want to remove it so I can sweep food into the Insinkerator, it pops right out. And it only costs 20% of what the OEM stopper costs. I've had no problems with it since I bought it over 6 months ago. It's held up well and still looks new. The color matches my Blanco silgranite black sink perfectly. But at this price, if I ever do need to replace it, no problem!

The black was chipping off our American Standard garbage disposal ring, and replacing it would be quite the hassle since I would have to remove the garbage disposal. This fit perfectly, looks good, and so far has held up nicely. One star off because, not being tapered toward the edge, some water will pool in the bottom of the sink, but not much. Wish the had the same thing for the other side of my kitchen sink with a standard drain (had to get a metal version, which I expect to chip eventually).

So much easier than replacing the entire drain assembly and is wearing well. Most black drain are painted metal and start to chip and flake fast. This insert is molded black and my wife if beyond thrilled with it. Only regret is not finding it years ago. So easy to install I thought I must have done it wrong. HIGHLY Recommend.

What a life saver!! Solved my chipping paint issue! My fairly new garbage disposal flange unit keeps peeling away paint. I’ve tried re-painting, but eventually it comes off. I finally found this online and figured it was worth a shot. It’s wonderful.! it’s nice and snug. And my unit looks brand new again. Highly recommend!
