Can you use it with a cup warmer?

Yes. I use it every day at work. It’s actually better if you do have a cup warmer. It’s made of thin glass and the coffee gets cold faster than with a regular mug. So a cup warmer will work. Be careful when washing it not to bump it to anything. I’m always concerned I might damage it. Other than that... it’s all good.

can it take boiling water?

Yes! The Cupa Joe is made of borosilicate glass, a type of lass far superior to regular glass, which can withstand much higher temperatures (including boiling water) and far less susceptible to fractures in general. Fun fact: Due to its durability and resistance to chemical changes, borosilicate glass has traditionally been used in chemistry labs and industrial settings.

The material says glass but it looks like there is a metallic piece towards the bottom of the mug so is this microwave safe?

It is metal at the base of the glass. The coffee cup resembles the coffee carfe exactly. I would not place in microwave because of the metal, instead, heat the water in a microwave safe cup and pour the water in your Funware coffee pot mug...ok?
