Are these books / manuals are original copy of Merrithew or they are photostat?

These manuals are all in color and are on nice thick paper. I don’t know if they are original but they are not just photocopies.

Is the manual the same as dvd for essentials?

Thank you for your inquiry.No they are not the same. The manual would be more technical and contains variations of the same exercises. Although it's primarily used by STOTT PILATES students as a learning aid, it could also be used as a reference tool for the at home consumer.Whereas, the DVD uses non industry terminology to walk the consumer thru a pre choreographed, full body workout.I hope this answers your question. What exercises are included in this book? I'm concerned about overlap between the intermediate manual which I already own.

In the full Intermediate repertoire, some of the exercises are repeated from the Essential, some are variations of an Essential exercise and some are unique to that level.
