Filters work great.

I am giving it two stars because when I used them, I smelled an industrial work-place scent while breathing. Perhaps, this might indicate that they (the respirator canisters) were being stored (prior to sale without a clean plastic cover) in an area exposed to automotive exhaust fumes or some type of industrial environment?. However, I will give the product three and a half stars for filtering-out fumes from Isopropyl Alcohol and Ammonia; but eventually--after twice-daily 7-days-a-week use, the fumes-odor becomes saturated inside the filters. And, there's no way to remove the aforementioned accumulated odors from the canisters. Hence, they have to be replaced (in my case) every 2 or 3 months. Additionally, the price is too high for the alleged functionality of the filters; and, there is no recommendation for a higher quality filter that can do a better job.

There was a little rust on each item but they functioned just fine. Disappointed they are out of stock. Now I will have to buy a different mask.

I purchased an AOSafety mask with these filters about 12 yrs ago to do a fiberglass project. I never could smell any fumes from hundreds of hours of fiberglass resin work(even more impressive, I used them while scooping out the cats litter box with n'er a hint of stank!!). The filters are still white inside and breathe just as easy as when new. Yes, there is a little surface rust from humid conditions, but these canisters are USA made with steel, not plastic. Tape off the filter openings and spray some rust inhibiting paint on them and get on with the job. Yes, expensive, but you get what you pay for!

Bought a mask equipped with these back in the 90's and have used same set for countless projects & hundreds of litter boxes.Probably most challenging project was a mold remediation project with heavy bleach fumes that would have been overwhelming to most masks.Worked extremely well with minimal leakage, which was more likely a mask fitting issue.Highly recommended if you can find them.
