Moringa is a plant that is native to the sub-Himalayan areas of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. It is also grown in the tropics. The leaves, bark, flowers, fruit, seeds, and root are used to make medicine. Worldwide, Moringa is used for “tired blood” (anemia); arthritis and other joint pain (rheumatism); asthma; cancer; constipation; diabetes; diarrhea; epilepsy; stomach pain; stomach and intestinal ulcers; intestinal spasms; headache; heart problems; high blood pressure; kidney stones; fluid retention; thyroid disorders; and bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections. Moringa is sometimes applied directly to the skin as a germ-killer or drying agent (astringent). It is also used topically for treating pockets of infection (abscesses), athlete’s foot, dandruff, gum disease(gingivitis), snakebites, warts, and wounds. Oil from moringa seeds is used in foods, perfume, and hair care products, and as a machine lubricant. Moringa is an important food source in some parts of the world. Because it can be grown cheaply and easily, and the leaves retain lots of vitamins and minerals when dried, moringa is used in India and Africa in feeding programs to fight malnutrition. The immature green pods (drumsticks) are prepared similarly to green beans, while the seeds are removed from more mature pods and cooked like peas or roasted like nuts. The leaves are cooked and used like spinach, and they are also dried and powdered for use as a condiment. The seed cake remaining after oil extraction is used as a fertilizer and also to purify well water and to remove salt from seawater. Moringa contains proteins, vitamins, and minerals. As an antioxidant, it seems to help protect cells from damage

Experienced gardner, could not get a single seed to grow.
I'm not sure if maybe I had a bad batch but not a single one of my seeds germinated. I have germinated hundreds of trays worth of seeds ranging from trees to bushes to grasses and even cacti. I expect a few here and there to not germinate, even 50% I would take but out 25 seeds I planted not one came to life. I followed the instructions on the packet which were very thorough and appreciated but it didn't help. I even watched a couple of YouTube videos beforehand to make sure the process was done right. It could have been some mishandling during shipping, maybe temperature fluctuations. Maybe if even one or two germinated I could chalk it up to user error but as a lifelong Gardner I would recommend not to purchase these seeds.

didn't grow
Followed the instructions to a T, gave them a month, they never germinated. Very disappointed :(

Horrible germination rate, and don’t follow their instructions
Experienced grower here. I had success with two out of nearly the entire packet, and both of them were grown using my own tried and true methods, not the instructions on the packet. Every attempt growing by sealing with plastic wrap for a week did absolutely nothing, unsurprisingly. And 10-12 that I tried by traditional method (placing in soil in open air, keeping under light, and keeping moist) yielded two pretty good seedlings— one seems like it will do pretty well but it’s too early to tell for the other. So <5% germination rate? C’mon. I should get my money back and also y’all should stop selling these.

No germination at all
I also didn’t get as many seeds as advertised. I tried every way I know to get them to germinate and none have. And believe me, my garden is full of fruits and vegetables that I’ve germinated. Very disappointed. But it’s ok. But I also was told by a professional that they are very hard to germinate. No fault of amazon. Amazon has been great with service. Thanks. Think I’ll order a real plant.

ZERO germination rate
I have grown moringa for years. Recently movef and lost my seeds so decided to buy a package and start over. Out of 25 seeds, not a single one germinated. My guess is these were old because it is nearly impossible to get zero germination from fresh seeds. With the ridiculous cost for this package, I am disgusted they didnt send fresh seeds.

1/6 Germinated in 7 Days
I planted 6 seeds and soaked none in water overnight. After 7 days, 1/6 seeds germinated using a basic seed starting mix. The package came in a timely manner and the appearance was professional. 25 seeds for $9.99 is a pretty good deal considering I couldn’t find these seeds anywhere not online.
