Brilliant
Absolutely fantastic. If u want an easy adjustable standing desk without the desk then this is your product. It's very over engineered and can be fiddly to put together but once u do works like a treat. I have mine attached to the kitchen table and is easily adjustable with a bit of tweaking - I found it easy to adjust once I got used to operating it. It doesnt take up all your desk space either. There is a little but if wobble to it when u type in a standing position - I'm 5'11 so fairly high. I have my laptop on one side and a 27inc curved monitor on the other - both work fine. The kit comes with rubber toppers and cable ties to satisfy your needs although the instructions do take a while to get your head round them...arms are adjustable and again can be tightened to your liking. The keyboard are hold both my keyboard and graphics tablet which I have velcro to it - again this comes with the pack but can be easily purchased. This folds away but i wouldn't recommend leaning on it as it tends to slip even when tightened.Overall a fantastic piece of kit - if u want a standing desk with a standing desk that's not going to take up all the desk this is the product for you.

Instantly life-changing; but you must steer well clear of the 25-pound weight limit
SUMMARY:This is an outstanding product that does what it promises -- I'm able to alternate between sitting, standing, and pushing my computer completely out of the way during my workday with almost no effort. The only significant problem is that it does begin to bounce with moderate typing, and the problem gets worse the closer you get to the 25-pound weight limit (which, as I explain below, is actually only 23 lbs). If you don't need the articulated arm, you can avoid this problem entirely by going with the fixed-mount Ergotron 33-349-200 WorkFit-S Dual with Worksurface+ instead. But despite the significant issue with bouncing and several other minor quibbles, this is a fantastic, life-changing product that I would buy again without hesitation until someone produces something better.BOUNCING AND WEIGHT-LIMIT ISSUE:I started with two 20-inch Dell UltraSharp 2007FP 20" Flat Panel LCD Monitor With Height Adjustable Stand - C9536 monitors, which weigh 11.5 lbs each (panels only) for a total of 23 lbs. With my keyboard included that's right around 25 pounds, and in that setup the bouncing was nearly too much to tolerate even when typing with just moderate-force. I had to limit my typing speed to keep it manageable. Then I switched to two 24-inch Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24" LED LCD Monitor - 16:10 - 8 ms monitors, which, despite their larger size, weigh only 8.75 lbs. With the combined weight reduced by 5.5 lbs, the bouncing is considerably less and within tolerable limits, although definitely still present.Ironically Ergotron lists the 20-inch 2007fp as compatible and the 24-inch U2412M as incompatible based on their respective dimensions. That's technically true, because at least one of the 24-inch monitors must be mounted in portrait orientation for both to fit. That's my preference anyway, so not a problem; 5.5 additional pounds is, however, a major problem. Even worse, an Ergotron customer support representative told me that the 25-pound limit includes the weight of the accessory shelf itself, which, at approximately 2 lbs, reduces the useable limit to only 23 lbs. That's not stated in any of the promotional literature. In a very polite and professional manner, she considered the question and admitted that--with the accessory shelf--two 2007fp monitors technically are not compatible because they weigh 23 lbs all by themselves, leaving no room for the keyboard, mouse, and anything you might actually put on the shelf. (She also confirmed--as can I from personal experience--that two 24-inch monitors are compatible as long as one of them is in portrait orientation.) If you're going to bump up against the weight limit, you might consider purchasing the version without the accessory shelf, which will save both money and around 2 pounds -- and you wouldn't be able to put anything on the shelf anyway other than perhaps a few sheets of paper.OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:Significant bouncing at weights well-within the stated limit is the only major flaw in an otherwise excellent product. Several other considerations that didn't occur to me before I started using the Workfit-A Dual:(1) You simply must purchase an anti-fatigue mat if you plan to stand for significant portions of the day, and you'll also likely want a foot stool to prop your legs up on alternately.(2) The height of your desk may significantly diminish your ability to do work in a seated position -- I'm 5' 10" and using this on a standard height desk (28.5" from floor to surface) I have to elevate my chair to its maximum height, which doesn't let my feet rest comfortably and ergonomically on the ground without using a foot stand.(3) You must mount the unit close enough to allow the keyboard to stick out significantly past the front lip of the desk, both to provide room for you to stand and also because the act of lowering the stand contracts the arm, which necessarily pulls the whole keyboard tray closer to the mount point. Thus, if you don't leave sufficient room the tray might come to rest on the surface of the desk well short of the front edge. If your desk is of even moderate depth (distance from the front where you sit to the back where the unit is mounted) you likely will fall short. This is especially true if you plan to use it facing a 90-degree corner. I solved this problem by using the optional Ergotron Grommet Mount for WorkFit-A to mount it over a hole I drilled in my desk. Of course, not everyone has that option.(4) The bouncing issue will be even worse if your desk is not absolutely rock-solid. Mine is solid mahogany with zero flex, so that's not a contributing factor to my problems with bouncing here. But for comparison, I've previously used a similar Ergotron single-monitor arm mount--the Ergotron MX Mounting Arm for Mid-Sized LCDs and All-In-One Computers (45-214-026) --(rated for 30 lbs) with a 23.5-pound monitor, and when mounted on a standard Ikea "Galant" desk there was a noticeable amount of flex. The Workfit-A Dual supports considerably more weight and exerts considerably more torquing force at its mount point, so I can only imagine that the flex would be nigh unbearable with it on a similar desk. (Note that another Ergotron representative took a guess that the standard clamp-mount would be somewhat stronger than the grommet mount I'm using because the clamp uses four tightening bolts while the grommet mount uses only one. I did not try the clamp-mount with mine, but based on what I've seen I suspect the difference is either extremely small or nonexistent, for two reasons: (A) the bolt in the grommet mount pulls down from the dead center of the mount point of the arm, so as long as it's tight--very, very tight, with a good wrench--it should provide the same amount of clamping force as four bolts that are tightened with equal force; and (B) the clamp-mount is put on the back edge of the desk, which is likely to be weaker and have greater potential to flex than somewhere in the middle of the surface. Thus in some cases the grommet mount may even have greater stability.)CONCLUSION:Despite the significant weight-related bounce issue and the other minor caveats, this is a well-built, best-of-its-kind product that is well worth working around the compromises. Being able to stand for significant portions of my workday makes working a fundamentally different--better and healthier--experience. I'm sure the bounce issue could be eliminated completely by using the fixed-mount Workfit-S Dual, but the benefits of being able to reposition the stand anywhere, including completely out of the way of my work space, makes working around the articulated arm's bouncing issue worth it. Neither of the "arms" tilt to allow better visualization. The entire arm lists to the right ...
I REALLY wish the keyboard platform was adjustable as well. It sits too high, parallel with the document platform, which increases my shoulder pain when sitting.Another issue I have with this device is the Laptop mount is VERY flimsy and does not secure the laptop in the slightest. You can't tell me that it would be too cost prohibitive to at least put some rubber non-skid pieces down on the tray. Then, for the dual monitors, there is no individual adjustment. I can make the monitor vertical, but cannot raise the monitor side up. Neither of the "arms" tilt to allow better visualization. The entire arm lists to the right too. Hubby thinks he can adjust that, but without decent instructions, who know how long it will be until he gets the you tube video that illustrates the workings of the multiple screws all over this thing. You would think that for the $475.30 that I paid for the 24-316-026 Ergotron work-fit mounting arm and the Work-fit conversion to LCD + Laptop kit for an additional 78.97 that I would be happier with this product. I guess a person needs to try it out well before making the jump. I guess I am stuck standing for the entire 8 hours of work. At least I had enough sense to buy an anti fatigue mat at the same time.
