good, but not advanced enough strategies
one of the better books on using ST to implement PLC controls. However, I was hoping for more strategy of how to implement state processes, and less on the typical instruction (how to use a CASE statement, how to use an IF statement, the types of variables).I appreciated the emphasis on using functions and function blocks - the more you understand these the better a programmer you will be. Using latches is sometimes a better way to handle states, as opposed to a bunch of IF or CASE statements. All of his examples utilize the same strategy, so essentially you are getting one person's coding habits, as opposed to a more comprehensive treatment of the various options available to the programmer.
