Q: These are hard to push on. After trying several times on rg6 quad. I cannot get the plug on far enough. Any tips?

First question I have for you is (and you may be smart enough to have done this) Have you removed the first (outer) braid and foil shield? These and other quad shielded cable connectors are designed to be installed removing the cable jacket, the outer braid and the outer foil and folding back the inner braid. If you have done all of that and the cable is cold the outer jacketing may be rather stiff. I use one of these in cold weather and with stubborn cable jacketing. It makes installing connectors like a hot knife going through butter. The connector is designed for RG6 cable. Connectors designed for RG59 might be usable with RG58. It depends upon physical measurements of 58 & 59.
