Good book for learning through dialogue. I would rate this just above beginner level on the difficulty scale. The most difficult of words are presented to you again at the end of each reading which is fantastic. The stories are easy to follow along and surprisingly interesting. This is the first time buying a book from this author - I wasn’t crazy about the error in one of the questions at the end of the first chapter - the answer is not accurate for question 5. I sent a msg to the author on LinkedIn to see if maybe I got something wrong with my interpretation of the question/answer, they read it but did not respond. I showed it to a few italian family members and they agreed that it didn’t make sense. So I was kinda thrown off a bit after the first chapter but whatever, I will continue buying books from this author.

Very well written stories. Strongly recommend it to supplement while learning at levels A1 and A2.

I bought this when I was a beginner (A1) and found it way too difficult to read. Now I’m B1/B2 level and this is the perfect book for me to read, I can understand all the stories and it’s enjoyable to read as I can easily follow along and picture the story in my head as I go. My Italian (and my confidence) is improving because of it!Highly recommend (but check your level first of course)

I have been studying Italian on my phone with an app and have taken a couple Italian courses some years back. I don't have access to people speaking the language all the time so I was thrilled to find a beginners book for adults! This book is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It gives excellent tips in the beginning of the book that are beneficial and includes vocabulary lists and comprehension questions after each short story. I especially like the short stories for two reasons: 1) I get the satisfaction of completing an entire story that isn't the length of an entire book and 2) The stories are intentionally varied so you are more likely to find some you really enjoy.I am half way through and I highly recommend this book. It is so satisfying to sit down and read in the new language I have been studying! If I could make one suggestion it might be to include an index of the new vocabulary words or perhaps a glossary so when I forget one that I KNOW was in one of the stories, I don't have to try and search through the book.
