Works great
Amazon shipped it fast. Ordered it Saturday night and received it Monday. Itstarted out reading high on the temperature. The manual says to wait initially at least 5 minutes for the temperature reading to stabilize. It actually took about 30 minutes. I have been using it for a couple days now and it has worked great ever since. It probably just needed time for the mass of the remote to equalize with the room temperature. I am using it on an electric space heater. I will probably use it on my window air conditioner, which also does not have a digital thermostat, this summer.I really like that I can set both the on and off temperatures instead of only having a single temperature setting like most thermostats. This way I can control the amount of hysteresis. The only thing that would be an improvement would be to be able to set the hysteresis in degrees, such as 1 degree or 2 degrees, rather than setting it as an off temperature. That way I could set that value once and not have to change both temperatures every time I want to increase or decrease the room temperature. The remote also has a manual override, so that you can set it constantly on or constantly off, which is handy for temporarily overriding the temperature setting.I'm using EBL NiMH rechargeable batteries in the remote. It does not seem to be aware of NiMH batteries so the low battery symbol is always showing since they are sitting at about 1.28V rather than 1.5V. It works just fine though. You just have to remember that NiMH batteries don't have a linear voltage curve as they discharge. They will hold their voltage and then quickly decrease near the end as they actually become discharged. It causes devices like this to not properly show the actual battery status. Too bad most devices like this don't have a rechargeable battery mode so that you can tell it to expect a different voltage curve as they discharge.Update: Sun 05/16/2021It stayed working great throughout the winter. Now that we are getting some hot enough days to run the air conditioner, I have moved it to my window unit that has simple mechanical controls. So far it has worked great there also.

So Far It's working good for my heated cat house
I have a cat that was apparently abandoned last year that I have adopted. I cannot let him in our house because of the cat we've had. She will not accept him. I put him in my heated woodworking shop at night but during the day he is outside so I wanted a warm place for him to shelter on cold days. I hooked up a plug- in outlet in this cat house and wired a ceramic heat lamp, mounted to a ceramic light fixture to this thermostat and set it for 62 degrees. After finally figuring out how to set it up, it has worked perfectly. I have a remote thermometer in there to keep watch of the temperature and it has been very consistent. There are some videos on YouTube to help set this up. I will update this after it has been in use for some time.

Bad
So I have a cheap window ac unit. It wouldn't shut off when it reached the temperature it was set at and would run all day and night. So I saw several people purchased this for the same thing. I got it and immediately set it up. It was confusing at first. But I finally figured it out. Was working great until the next day I get a text from my daughter. She was telling me an alarm was going off. I didn't know what she meant. Then she sent a video and it was this stupid thing. I had the high temp set at 80 degrees. I had the turn on at 72 and turn off at 70. For some reason this thing stopped working and wouldn't turn my ac on. My bedroom hit 82 degrees and this thing chirped and chirped. Scared my daughter. And so I told her to turn it off. I came home reset everything and it wouldn't work. Ac would not turn on and it got up to almost 80 and I hate it set for 70. Used it for a few hours and it's worthless now.

Works OK GUI is LAME!!!
Installing this item was a snap. It seems well built and I had no overheating issues (I'm running a heater that draws a constant 1500W for 8 - 12 hours at a time). Programing it OTOH was horrible. It's too bad, the manufacturer made decent piece of hardware and then let the GUI be designed by the kid who couldn't work their own phone. The same person must have written the manual which is IMO a waste of paper. Here's what you need to know: The way to change from heating to cooling is to simply set the run temp higher then the stop temp and it switches automatically (not a bad feature but never mentioned in the manual). There are 4 temperature settings and 1 delay setting: RUN, STOP, HIGH alarm, LOW alarm, DELAY*. Unless you need the HIGH and LOW temp alarms (they could be useful) I'd recommend moving them to the temp extremes so they never go off (and wake you in the middle of the night). The way you adjust these 4 temp settings and 1 delay setting is push and hold the top button until the numbers flash. Now a short push of that same button cycles you through the 5 options. To adjust the flashing numbers, use the left and right buttons (UP=Left, DOWN=Right). Once you've adjusted to what you need, another long press of the top button brings you back to the home/monitor screen. * The DELAY function keeps your compressor from turning back on too soon after a power down. It is graduated in minutes (I'm using it for a heater so haven't used this function). * The bottom button should come with a WARNING! If your device is running and you push and hold the bottom button, it turns it off and the screen says "Always Off" WARNING! It is only off until the temp drops above or below your set "RUN" limits and the unit will start again. The same but opposite is true with "Always On" (You access this by holding the bottom button while your device is not running). In other words even though the words "Always" appear, it will turn back on or off as soon as 1/2 thermal cycle happens. The only way I know to "Always" power down your device is to unplug it. I gave it 4 stars overall because once in place it does it's job well enough and Bang for Buck it is an excellent deal. The 5th star is because you have to spend an inordinate amount of time reading the manual, tossing it away and then figuring it out :).
