Max and NeoNylon Martingale Collar - We Donate a Collar to a Dog Rescue for Every Collar Sold (X-Small, Pink)

I bought this collar for our chocolate lab. It is a perfect fit!**** UPDATE***"For the first time ever, our dog decided to go for a walk down the street in her own.Our neighbors returned her with her tags. When they went to read the tag to find out where to return her, it snapped right off.I had this at a 5 star, but need to lower my review to a 3 star.The pink paw print is where the ring attaches to the collar.I will be contacting the company on this matter.

I got this collar for my nearly 6 month old Pointer puppy 10 days ago.Good: I like the fact that this is a martingale collar so it helps prevent slipping out and provides control during walking but it's nice that it has a buckle so it can be easily and safely removed if needed. I really l liked the locking feature on the buckle. This company is AWESOME and donates items to rescues. They have donated to the rescue I volunteer for which is why I went to them to buy this.COULD BE BETTER (why it's not 5 stars): I bought the orange color and it is a very pale orange. I wish it was more of a traditional orange. It could be mistaken for salmon/pinkish kind of. I have only had the collar on my dog for 10 days and it looks dirty. There is no way it is actually dirty as he is a clean puppy and there has been a heavy coating of snow that entire time so no way he could see dirt. Upon inspection it appears that the plating/coating on the metal pieces is wearing off and turning the collar a dark color in some spots. I will attempt to wash it and get rid of this. I think if the color was darker you wouldn't notice it as much. Additionally I took it off of him to get pictures to show the color issue and noticed it is fraying. I'll trim this off when I wash it.

These collars are great! BUT, the sizing listed is off. I ended up buying 2 collars because the first one was just a touch too big for our dog. The "medium" measurement states it is a 17" collar but it only goes as small as 17.8" and my dog has a 17" neck, the collar comes off if she scratches at her neck. The small is advertised as much smaller than what it opens up to so when we ordered the small, it works great with plenty of room to grow.

This collar ran slightly smaller than advertised, so I'm returning it to get a larger one. However, I have to pay $6 to ship it back! That's half the price of what I paid for it. The company isn't donating collars to shelters - we are paying for them to be donated. I've never had to pay shipping to return an inconvenient sized item.The collar itself seems well made, but I won't find out. I won't buy from this company again.

Just wish it existed in Kelly green, as everything I have for my dog is… green! Beautiful stitching, I love the feature that allows to lock the buckle, so it does not come off by mistake. The hooks are made of a nice metal. I bought this collar when I saw one on a neighbor's dog. The collar is new and a little stiff, but I am sure with time it will soften, plus I tend to wash my dog's collar in the laundry with bleach about every two weeks, so should take care of the "new collar stiffness".UPDATE on 10/08/18 - Have been using this collar on and off for a bit over 2 weeks now. I bought it specifically because the buckle locks, but unfortunately the lock does not stay in place and I now have a "regular" martingale collar. I knocked down 2 starts because of this problem

I'm actually really impressed with this collar so far. I bought the medium-large in pink. My female chocolate lab weighs about 65-70lbs and her neck measures 18" tight and 19" loose. I have it fitted on her loosely since it will tighten when the loop is pulled. The reflective stitching works really well. I was standing in my mom's kitchen and everyone was talking about how reflective it is even under the indoor lights. I like the un/lock feature on the clasp. Slides easily to lock or unlock it and it really does work. I was concered that the loop for the tags would be cheap and might break someday, but it's a lot better than I was expecting. The thickness of the collar is medium compared to other thicker and thinner collars I've purchased.**UPDATE** 4/19/20After owning this for 2 years exactly, I have found that the plastic ring for the tags does come off within a year, the color fades drastically, the reflective stitching stops working and the metal pieces start to loose the silver color and looks brassy. My lab is primarily an inside dog, but is outside approx. 4 hours on a nice day and might find some water to jump in every once in a while. Functionality of collar is still great and strong. Went from 5 to 4 stars.

This collar is everything I wanted and more. My collie, who is a rescue dog, has been wearing a Martingale collar since we got her four years ago, but it didn't have the release buckle. The Max and Neo collar is made from quality material and the reflective stitching is perfect for the morning walks when it isn't quite light out. And supporting the rescue organizations is a big plus, in my opinion!

This is a very nice collar and I am very happy with the service I have received in regards to the collar. It fits my Jack Russell perfectly, as a matter of fact I thought it might be too small for him but it is actually a tiny bit big but I can adjust it down. I choose the bright orange for our little guy to help make him more identifiable as a pet being as he is mostly white. So far the collar has been great, my only issue was that the locking mechanism on the collar was not working right. I wrote to the seller just to inquire on the mechanism and they are sending out a new one without my even asking for them to. Will update this review further once we receive the new collar. The workmanship on the collar is very nice and I do like the martingale. When we got our JRT from the Jack's Galore Russell Refuge in MA they gave us one but after wearing it for a while we replaced it but never with another martingale. We are glad we tried this one and the added bonus they donate collars to dog rescues!!!! I hope Jack's Galore is on their list.... Thanks for the GREAT service!!!

After looking for a martingale collar with a buckle for a while, I thought I had struck gold finding the Max and Neo collar on Amazon and ordered two, one each for the two dogs. However, my luck changed for the worst when one (out of the 2 ordered at the same time) were delivered.Not only did both collars not come at the same time, which has never happened before but the collar is way too thin and may as well be a cat collar. I understand they can’t be as wide as a normal collar for a very large dog but just because they’re small doesn’t mean they need very thin cat collars. Alongside this, the measurements are way off and a good inch smaller than their other collars which are the same size! I am more than disappointed with my order and am now stuck with a useless collar that will end up being donated as the return fee will be too high to post it back to Amazon global and another one which I hope will be cancelled but may just end up with 2 useless collars and the loss of cash I spent on these.
