Nourish Digital Kitchen Food and Coffee Scale + Timer: Precision Sensors, Large Glass Weight Platform, and Large Backlit Display

I needed a scale for making pour over coffee, a method that--im addition to requiring precise ratios--requires measuring by weight and time simultaneously: you have to keep track of how much water you pour within a 3 minute timeframe. My scale needed to-weight accurately in grams-be able to tare between pours-have a stopwatch-be waterproof or highly water resistant-match my decor since it would be on the counterI tried another scale that broke on the first use, and I was skeptical about whether this would work for me either, especially since it can't display time and weight on the same screen. However, the verdict is good. It is easy to shuffle between the stopwatch and the scale modes mid pour, and it fits my other criteria too (the glass top deserves a special mention here. I don't know why dedicated pour over scales don't have this feature. I can't be the only spill prone coffee drinker...). Ultimately I like this even better than the Hario scale, which is significantly more expensive. It is extremely well designed and well made. It is beautifully packaged, and the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it would be better if the timer/stopwatch function could be displayed on the same screen as the weight measurement.

I love the function and nomenclature of this scale! It is extremely easy to use; one press to change to stopwatch, time and then back to the scale. The scale has the ability to switch to different units of weight measurement. The display is very easy and clear to read. I think the glass top is wonderful looking, sanitary and fits any kitchen layout. This unit also comes with batteries. It was very well packaged and comes with ONLINE instructions that were very easy to understand (you get a code that in input to their website to access the PDF instructions)I took away one star because the scale has malfunctioned a few times. It has failed register touch commands about 4 times since I purchased it; I had to remove the batteries to reset it. In one instance, I was in the process of doing a pour over and watching the grams and the scale switched to the timer and would not switch back. Another instance, I had the scale turned off and it turned on by itself and would not turn off until I removed the batteries to reset it. All that being said, I still love it! I have not replaced the batteries that, based on experience with other electronics, I think that is the reason for the issues.I love this scale and highly recommend!

After having used this scale for a time, I find myself unsatisfied. Here is why:1. The buttons cause the scale to be unintentionally turned on and the mode unintentionally changed.2. When the mode is unintentionally changed, the scale locks requiring it to be turned off and back on.3. The scale dims too quickly when waiting to weigh.4. The scale turns off automatically, ruining my tare. This is incredibly inconvenient and enough to bring any review down to 1 star.I really dislike this scale. I cannot count how many times I have weighed coffee beans, turned around to grind and then found the scale off and tare reset as I pour my grounds into the filter basket.I've invested in the Pearl and Lunar from Acaia and expect that experience to far surpass what I consider to be a frustrating disposable scale. I wouldn't expect much from a $15 scale so I suppose you get what you pay for.

I bought this scale because I liked GreaterGoods' bathroom scale. The first one I received was defective in its little digital brain in various ways. BUT the seller was extremely responsive and sent another one that works. I have always used old fashioned scales and it seems I didn't know what I was missing. This scale is so easy to live with. One wipe cleans it up, no crevices (I'm messy). The 11 pound limit is enough to accommodate my usual containers plus contents. The tare function is priceless and makes it as fast as using measuring cups--but the result is much better when making bread.I took off the one star for the QA problem and hassle, but the manufacturer made it good.

This is the 3rd kitchen scale/timer I have tried and it is perfect for making coffee. My first was the Hario, which was great for a single cup pour-over coffee setup, but hit over capacity when I tried to put a larger stand and pot for 3 cups on it. The 2nd had the capacity but took forever to arrive from China and was broken on receipt. I still haven't gotten the replacement. This one arrived quickly, works great out of the box, has the capacity for my 3-cup setup and then some. It also has a stopwatch function to count up from zero, and it has a countdown timer that stores the last setting. All that, and it's less than half the cost of the Hario. In addition to the coffee, I've started weighing a lot of my baking ingredients as suggested in the recipes, instead of using a measuring cup. Greatly improves everything. Overall, I am very pleased with this scale/timer. No promotions or free items involved in this purchase and review.

Good scale. Large, easily readable display, and accurate as far as I can tell. Surface is easy to clean, and it fits in well with a modern decor.The one thing that potential buyers should know is that you can't use the timer/stopwatch and the scale together (you have to switch modes). This was unfortunate for my intended use (as a pour over coffee scale) where I would have liked to see the timer and scale readout together, but its not a huge deal. It works fine for each of those functions separately.

The pros- Easy to clean! It wipes right off, unlike other stopwatch scales- Large, easy to read display- Awesome unboxing experience. I may just be getting a kitchen gadget, but it really feels special to open!The cons- It's hard to use this as a coffee scale because the stopwatch and scale don't display at the same time- Doesn't come with a protector so you can stack stuff on it. It's a bit hard to store.

We got this scale for measuring coffee grinds, and so far so good. It's easy to use and to clean given the flat surface, and I simple enough that I didn't have to read the instructions.
