279838 Dryer Heating Element

After my dryer stopped heating (again), I bought this kit, as well as a separate kit with the remaining thermostats and fuses. Tired of troubleshooting and replacing individual parts for the last few years, I decided to simply replace everything in one shot and hopefully be done with it. The parts all fit perfectly. Now the dryer has been working like new for several weeks at a rate of 1-3 loads each day. It's too early to tell if the parts have OE longevity, but it's looking encouraging so far. I would recommend this product.One other thing to note is that you also need to clean your vent periodically, as well as any lint buildup inside the dryer. While you have the dryer apart, be sure to clean everything out before reassembly. Lint buildup can cause overheating and degrade the performance of the dryer, which can also cause premature failure of components.

Lower price kit that's just as good as one twice the cost! Super Duty Dryer runs almost 24/7 with 4 kids! It just completed it's 30 day burn in test and IT'S HOT & FAST! Super easy to install, Old dryer is working like a charm now. Can't say how long it will last, but for now it is working great.

Everything need to fix the dryer was included. The only issue I had was the included screws were too soft to self tap. Had to use different screws.

So easy, and works!

It seemed to work well initially however after three months the heating element failed. I had replaced all other parts with the dryer kit and nothing helped. I bought a new kit and replaced this heating element with the new one and dryer worked fine. Would not recommend to anyone.

It was fairly easy to install. Only real problem I had was that it was not quite wide enough without being bent for the second screw. Not a big deal though. Thankful to be able to fix my dryer instead of replacing it.

It was probably my fault, but even with the wiring diagram, it was not helpful. Everything else works right, but I would continue looking if you have a WED5600SQ0. Other than that the kit is pretty good and seems to work well. I will next time go through Blue Stars LLC/Parts due to their lifetime warranty. As of 06/10/23, the heater element took a crap.
