Great grips
I replaced the stock "ergo" grips that came on my Giant Roam with these. Installing them went quick and the instructions are easy to follow, although there is no audible 'click' when I pressed the bar ends on. The first time riding with them was a night and day difference. They're molded to fit the shape of the hand. It almost feels like they were custom made for mine. The wings support my palms and create a platform to rest on and also make it easy to switch positions from holding the bar ends. I thought the grips' shape and size might effect how my hands close around them when I need to, but I can hold on tightly with no problem. Plus the rubber material is insanely grippy, but not sticky. I can see the advantage of the longer bar ends on the GP4/5, but I get a good enough hold on these shorter ends. The GP2 ends seemed too short to me. Although some suggested the small size grips, even though I wear an XL glove, I'm glad I went with the large; I don't wear gloves and it fits perfect for me. If you wear gloves or have meatier hands than mine, the small might be better...? One of the things I was concerned with was being able to mount my handlebar-end mirror, but there are end caps on this newer version so that wasn't a problem. As a side note, they're shipped in a plastic bag, so don't expect the retail packaging. Excellent grips, definitely recommend them.

I like it
I am very happy with these. It takes a few rides with them to get them adjusted properly as there are 2 variables. The main grip has to be set at the correct angle for your comfort and the bar ends need to be set separately for the correct angle to your liking as well. So there is an adjustment period where you just need to go for a few rides with an allen wrench handy to make on the spot adjustments to dial them in for the correct comfort level. They install super easy and tighten down solid. Like very solid. As in I can put my full weight on the bar ends and they hold in place. But they have to be installed correctly to work properly. They have to be pushed all the way onto the handlebar far enough that a tiny sliver of the end of the handlebar sticks out past the end of the grip before you attach the bar end. The compression sleeve that holds the system together is built into the bar end so if the bar end can't push far enough into the handlebar it's trying to grip nothing and will never be tight.Comfort wise it's a wide platform for the hands. I find it does a great job of dispersing the weight of your upper body across more of the palm so minimize hand strain and numbness. I don't really need the bar ends unless I'm on a long ride of an hour or more where I need an alternate handhold just to switch up my hand and wrist positions. The rubber is firm, not super cushy. I like that because it's supportive but if you like a more cushioned grip this one is not for you. The bar ends are hard plastic with a thin rubber coating for grip, not cushion. The rubber does provide a grippy surface that won't let your hand slide around much. It's not like a plastic that your hands will slide around. Some people like that. Some people hate it.

Great grips!
I installed these on my Marin flat bar road bike and love them. I'm not the most mechanically inclined, but found these fairly easy to install (you'll want a torque wrench). The grips are very comfortable and decrease fatigue and numbness. The combination of supportive grip and bar ends give me a variety of positions for my hands when riding so I can adjust for speed, climbing, or just switching it up when my hands get tired. The grips install nice and solidly and haven't had any issues with them slipping etc. For just 50 bucks it's a huge upgrade over typical stock handlebar grips.

Like the Ergon 3's
Like the Ergon 3's. Loved my old Ergon 5's more. Went back to those. I preferred even more hand positions. Though If you prefer just minimal bar ends with great grips, these are for you. Solid construction, unbeatable comfort and grip. Top notch grips.

They are excellent, if placed correctly they will stay in place and help with hand numbness.
Well, an update. I didn't give up on this item, it seems that I wasn't putting it correctly. First of all I had to cut it a bit shorter, this grip is longer than my previous one and I didn't want to move the brake levers. Then, I removed the end caps from the grips to make sure I could visualize the handle tube come all the way to the end of the grip, I tighten the grips screw as hard as I could, and then put in the end caps or covers. On my last few rides the grips have handle all the stress I am putting them through. Remember to tighten them as hard as you can.The following was my first review:" Don’t buy it, I was riding hard and the handles came loose, I almost fell down, I had tools with me and re-tighten them but came loose again. The handle tightens with a bolt at the end of handle bar, I can’t see how it works but the design allows for it to become loose when you are placing a lot of force on it, like when pedaling hard. They are too expensive not to return."

Great grips, but you need to move the brakes and shifters in about 1 inch to install them properly
I have a decent flat bar bike that I ride about 2000 miles per year. I was considering switching to a road bike because it offered more hand positions during long rides. With these grips, it allows for a very comfortable ride, with multiple hand positions. Because these grips are longer in the old ones, I needed to move the brake and shifter levers in about an inch on each side to allow for a secure tightening of the screws. The grips and ends are very stable when they are installed correctly. I am glad I purchased these as they offer independent adjustment of the ends, cheaper models don’t. I will be buying another high-end flat bar bike, and it will have these grips.

These improved the comfort of riding. Did not seem so at first but long term my hands felt better.
The install is easy and it takes a bit of time to adjust to give the best results. Immediately they felt comfortable but I still had some numbness in my fingers. After using these for a couple of weeks the effects of them were more evident. Still limited numbness but much improved but overall comfort of my hands was significantly improved. I thought I would use the finger grips but rarely so buying the version without the extra grip fingers would be all I need. Quality is good . Product is as advertised. I would not go back to my old grips.

Very comfortable
Ergon GP3 Grips - SmallChose the small, my hands are around a size medium. Initially I though they felt a little too narrow, but after a good 30 mile ride I can honestly say that they are very comfortable. They allow many different hand positions and can be adjusted very easily and very quickly. Once you've got your old grips off these can be on within a couple of minutes and tighten up very easily and feel very strong and secure. We'll worth the money, I got them on offer at £19.99, absolute bargain.
