Stargate SG-1 Complete Series Seasons 1-10 Collection

Having all 10 seasons of STARGÅTE SG-1 is a real treat. I can now binge to my hearts content and enjoy the adventure and humor of Colonel Jack O'Neill, Major Sam Carter, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Teal'c as well as Brigadier General George Hammond, Sgt. Walter Harriman and the rest of the SG command personnel and various visitors and enemies. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that not only are all the episodes wide screen but it contains the ORIGINAL version of "Children of the Gods", the pilot episode from its Showtime premiere. The smaller packaging takes up about the same space as my lonely season 1 in it 4 or five packages! Most excellent!

The entire set takes up less room than only two seasons of previous releases. The picture quality is good for standard definition. Had no issues with damaged discs from shipment. The one issue I did have is with the sound, specifically the dialog. As is the case with other movies and tv shows, the sound track and and other sound effects are much louder than the spoken words. This leads to turning up the volume louder than I'd like just to hear the dialog. There are closed captions in two foreign languages, BUT NOT IN ENGLISH!! Go figure. Other than that, no complaints. This is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

An entertaining sci-fi collection spanning 10 seasons. The characters will grow on you, perhaps. 45 minute episodes w/o commercials are do-able and small delights. Seldom did I find an episode I thought, "Move on, this is boring. Write better stuff." Perhaps you will find yourself analyzing their moves like I did, wondering if there was a better way. Well, it's not the most outstanding stuff I've ever watched, but some of the episodes were certainly fun. I watched everyone of them by now--and in a few years I plan to do it again!

We just began watching these DVDs and we have hit a few spots where the video goes to a pink screen, just for a few seconds. It's enough time to break your immersion into the show, but recovers soon enough that you let it go. I hope the remaining DVDs don't have the same issues. Aside from that, love the shows!!

I ordered the SG-1 series after I purchased the Battlestar Galactica series which was 5 star all the way. I give this SG-1 purchase four stars because I feel for the price, the discs would at least have come in a nice box. I opened the shipping box and these discs were wrapped in plastic. I didn't pay attention and opened the plastic to have the individual cases fall all over hence my thought that they should be in a nice box such as the one for the Battlestar Galactica series.

I am biased, SG-1 is a favorite of mine, having all 200+ episodes if fabulous. The creative imagination is superb! 1st season had subtitles and spoken languages of several forms; ensuing seasons do not. I use language as an excuse to spend 190 hours watching SciFi...

The show it's self is amazing. However the company that I got it through did not package it well and the box had disks floating around in it. Some of the disks seem to have spots where it just freezes. But when it comes to Stargate I can handle these little hick ups in order to have it

This is a great set. Instead of a boxed set in paper sleeves or broken hinged holders, this set comes in individual boxes for each season. A few people have commented that this set does not come with closed captioning or subtitles. My set has both. Extra features galore - and for the price, each episode costs less than 50 cents.

Wer die Box kauft, der kennt die Serie doch eh und weiss, dass die Serie 4-5 Sterne verdient hat.Die drei Sterne beziehen sich auf die Ausführung selber. Die DVDs sind nicht wie bei den meisten Boxen üblich in der hülle verteilt sondern komplett gestapelt, so dass man alle DVDs rausnehmen muss, wenn man an die letzte DVD will.Gleichzeitig ist der halter so steif, dass man beim rausnehmen der DVD befürchten muss, dass die dabei Kaputt gehen...Was nervig ist, ist der ständige Wechsel der DVD-Menüs. Bei den ersten Staffeln hat man mehrere Sprachen zur Auswahl und dann kommt das Menü zum Episodenstarten. Bei den nächsten Staffeln reduzieren sich die Sprachen auf 3 und ab ca. Staffel 6 kommt dann noch Werbung für Stargate Atlantis dazu.Ab Staffel ~7 kommen dann ~4 Trailer für Filme, die überhaupt nichts mit dem Franchise zu tun hat. Ab Staffel 9 verschwindet dann die Sprachauswahl komplett. Dafür entfallen auch wieder die Trailer. Die Episoden starten alle auf Englisch mit deutschen Untertiteln. Kann dann per Fernbedienung geändert werden.Nervig ist auch, dass dann ab einer späteren Staffel (>7) diese nervide Kopie-Piraterie-Warnung kommt.Das hätte man alles besser machen können. So wirkt das ganze Lieblos hingeklatscht.Bei "The Ark of Truth" hat man die Wahl "Film Starten" oder Film mit vorgeschichte starten. Bei letzterem kommt das typische "was bisher geschah", was man schon aus den einzelnen Staffeln kennt. Allerdings kann man hier die Sprache nicht ändern, so dass der Teil dann auf Englisch läuft und das, obwohl auf den anderen DVDs die gleichen Szenen auf deutsch vorhanden sind...

This is fantastic value for money. A great box set which is really space saving as to store all the original DVDs would take up alot of space. A lot of people have commented on the packaging. I agree that the outer box is a little boring for a summary series box set and the box had torn in the post slightly when it arrived (the DVDs are too heavy for the box really). However, I have had no problems with the DVDs themselves, or the plastic cases they are in. The very slight difficulty in getting the DVDs out of the case is much better than having hundreds of DVD cases to store and deal with.Excellent- I would definitely recommend!p.s. the 18 rating is a bit misleading- this only applies to the first disc of season 1 as the other discs/seasons/movies are PG/12/15 rated.

Would have given this 4 star but as with many Amazon box sets the quality control is poor. 2 episodes would not play. This was better than Next Generation where 5 complete seasons would not play in English, or Voyager where 24 episodes would not play in English or DS9 where 2 episodes would not play in English and 1 episode was faulty. Moral - make sure you watch all episodes of these box sets promptly. I bought all these over a year ago so cannot do anything about this.

I got my German box set of stargate kommando sg1 complete box today and part of the case was missing . Maybe that's why it was cheaper than the UK version . Why is some of the seasons 6 discs well to answer that disc 1 has 3 episodes on not it sure about the rest of the box set .picture is not bad but sound is a bit poor but let's not forget these are dvd . There are 62 dad's in the box and some of the discs are on top of a disc at the side , let's put it one way Vampire diaries Blu-Ray and another box set were both poor . The star gate is in English with English subtitles even though it's German . Was it worth the money totally and if the rest of the box set is as good as disc 1 then it's 5 stars worth buying

Anyone that has enjoyed the Stargate SG1 series will find this particular box set of interest. It is the complete set of all 10 seasons and includes the two films that were produced to "round off" and tie up some of the loose ends left by the slightly precipitous ending of the project.The programmes are complete along with a number of short vignettes and extra material recorded for the DVD home purchase market. These include a number of clips with the actors, writers, directors and producers all providing some extra depth to the process that went into creating this superb television drama.It's true that the box is a little bit basic; just card with a laminated stick on cover, but I found it OK as a container. Each season comes in its own plastic case with the appropriate season information, so they could be taken out and stored separately if preferred.Mine was bought as an "open box" product, one that had been returned to Amazon and was therefore sold at a reduced price. Subsequently, I realised that 1 disk was missing; however, I have been able to obtain a copy of the missing disk, so the set will now be complete.All in a great product and a good price, and one that I will treasure.
