Disappointed as the package was clearly previously opened. It appears pieces are there, but seems low quality on visual inspection. It is intended as a gift so have not tried it yet. Seems like it will be an expensive stocking stuffer.

So much fun!
This is a super fun way to learn about circuits and switches. It's one thing to know the principles, but a whole other thing to actually build a circuit out of real components, attach the battery and see your LED light up! I'm a grown up and I had a blast putting stuff together, seeing it work, seeing it not work and figuring out what I did wrong...I'm sure any young person would totally love this set.

but I would recommend as a present for any kid interested in electronics/science
I got this kit for my niece who just turned 13 and likes science experiments. I was little hesitant at first if this too techy for the novice user. She's only had it for a few days, but her mom said she's been having a blast messing around with it and made a nightlight for her room! Now her younger brother wants one too! He’ll have to wait until Xmas, but I would recommend as a present for any kid interested in electronics/science.
