Fab New Espresso maker, but..
We uapacked it, washed everything, reassembled. It worked the 1st time but not great. As we learned the proper amount and grind for our beans (usually "a 50:50 mix of "Trong Nuong Creative 4" and "Mexican Mocha." Now, making the best cappuccino and latte's we've had in a long time. Our machine stopped working after 11 months. Seattle Coffee authorized a warranty refund, but after three days, Amazon has yet to apply the credit to my account. No one at Amazon is responsible it seems.,

I'd avoid
Made pretty good coffee for a 2 years and then stopped working. Also all the automation was a bit tedious when something needed attention, always had to have the manual around to address issue. Now the machine won't pump and is not really worth fixing.

Atmospheric/bar gauge/pressure gauge meltdown!
Do not buy this product, stopped working 42 days after delivery date. Manometer/pressure gauge/bar gauge stopped working properly. Amazon says no returns after 2-1-25!!! Delivered 12-27-24 stopped working 2-7-25!! I tried calling Solis's helpline and the recording said they were closed and to call during business hours. NO MENTION OF BUSINESS HOURS! Now that is some stellar customer service, HORRIBLE!!

Great little machine
shots rival the most expensive machines out there! Trust me I have owned those machines which cost a few thousand dollars. This little machine, I set up in minutes and was able to pull shots right away. The more expensive machines will say 10 minute warm up but to get the good shots you typically need to wait at least 20 to 30 minutes.Great for beginners and for those of us wishing to find an acceptable alternative to the expensive espresso machines out there. So happy I took the risk and tried it!

Small Learning Curve...(UPDATE)
Update-9/15/23 after 7 mos daily use, internal hose blew out. SCG had me return and issued a refund right away, they did not offer a replacement....SCG said they dont stock this machine any longer.I had been using a DeLonghi EC155 for a few years. This is an upgrade! It has taken me a while to get the grind right, but I feel it is locked in now. My advice get a decent burr grinder and experiment with the non-pressurized baskets. The programming took a few minutes, and I have run the cleaning when required. I do release the steam/pressure after each use, as apposed to letting it shut off itself, this stopped any dripping.

Excellent entry level machine.
Excellent beginner machine. I searched for a entry level machine and it comes down to this one and Gaggia classic pro. I am glad I picked this one. One button espresso function really shines. Gaggia is very good too, esp if you prefer do everything manual.Pro:1 Temperature control is fairly accurate.2 Steam pressure is good.3. Semiautomatic control makes learning curve short.Con:Not much to say. If it uses 58mm portafilters it will be perfect.

Jury is out on this one!
I'm waiting for a replacement for the original machine i ordered. The original was purchased from Amazon and shipped from Seattle Coffee Gear. It was supposed to be a new machine but was obviously used. The water filter was wet and already installed in the tank, packaging not sealed and missing a few accessories, owners manual looks like it got wet. I've been trying it out anyway until the replacement gets here and so far i'm not too impressed. The most glaring cons are that the pressure gauge is way off and the hot water dispensed from the steam wand comes out in a high pressure stream so is basically unusable. Hopefully a fresh machine doesn't have these issues, if not it's going back. On the plus side the machine heats up incredibly fast, is quiet and steams milk really well.

Failed after 20-30 uses. Beware: you have to pay to send it back to SCG!
I really liked this unit, and thought it was going to be a great replacement for my Saeco. It worked well at first. But after 20-30 times using it over a 4 month period, it appears that the pump has failed. OK, it's under warranty. But here's the kicker: YOU the customer have to pay to send it to Seattle Coffee Gear for warranty service. The cheapest shipping option is $70. That is a significant percent of the purchase price, for a barely used machine.I'm tempted to just cut my losses here. Sending back a second time and I'm close to 40% of the purchase price. Totally unacceptable.
