Delightful!
Jacobs takes the āsave pointā idea to creative heights in this series. As in āGroundhog Dayā, what might a man accomplish and learn, given enough times to do so? Now take that concept into a fantasy world and imagine what can be done. Use an MC with a sense of humor, and an appreciation for people who depend upon on him, and what amazing and bizarre things might happen? Thereās only two main dangers:Firstly, if you must die hundreds of times to reach a goal, how much of your sanity / humanity is left once youāve reached it? Especially as you you learn the names, behaviors, and backgrounds of those foes before youāre done? Good thing thereās some humor and attitude to the MC so that he can shake of the worst of it.Secondly, what happens when you are forced to use a bad save point, and you last too little (or too long) before dying, and starting over again? How do you escape the former, and how do you recover the losses from the latter?Jacobs is an excellent author: writing and editing well, and giving solid depth to his characters. Each series has its own feel, whether simple or complex, and this particular series gives the respective personalities and relationships of the characters the attention they deserve.Very good, very interesting and has great potential. I ām looking forward to book two. Recommended (16+)

The God of Timeā¦.
ā¦all too quickly becomes the God of Arrogance.I read the one-star reviews of book one which focused on repetitiveness, sexual assault, and depravity. Quite an eye-opener, that. Then I read the 5-star reviews. I decided to read through the entire series as it currently exists (8 episodes) to get a better picture. My review, though attached to book one, really covers the 8-volume series as a whole. As is always the case, each class of reviewer made compelling arguments, each based on their own particular world-view. Some were fair; a good many were not. While I wanted a broader perspective on this offering from Logan Jacobs, my own views are just that - my own views.Overall, I found the series to be pretty entertaining. The storyline moves along at a pretty frenetic pace, which is what most readers want. VERY few readers of this genre appreciate, or will even tolerate - an author spending any time fleshing out the personality nuances of the supporting cast when they can instead move on to the next adventure or harem conquest. I completely disagreed with the comparisons to sexual assault; this is, after all, a harem fantasy story.I found the MCs initial entry into his new world interesting - nearly every gamer has found themselves in a bad save point where they respawn into the game only to be killed over and over again. That I found to be the hook that pretty much set the tone for the rest of the series thus far - to never again be in that situation.Fair enough, but I found the author taking it to extremes on occasion. Book three, I believe, found the author walking us through a particularly long series of respawns where each one was described in excruciating detail, with only minor variances in each as the MC strove for the oft-repeated mantra for ā100% completionā.That aspect got better with subsequent volumes, but I found the MC becoming less likable as the story progressed. Childish behavior, constant self-aggrandizement, and aggressive arrogance are not qualities I enjoy seeing at any time, and particularly in the āheroā character of the story. In volume 7 the MC thought it a good idea to arrogantly plop a bloody, dripping head on the desk of his latest conquest target in order to get his demands met, and when rebuffed whined āGeez, itās just a deskā. Itās this kind of portrayal that makes the storyās MC highly unlikable. Seems counter-intuitive to me, but if it was the authorās intent to make his MC out to be an unlikable <alternative name for a donkey>, it worked 100%.That aside, though, the series is fairly enjoyable. To be perfectly honest, Iāve about reached my tolerance limit for the story along itās current arc. Iām hoping things improve somewhat in the next episode; I always like to see an authors work through to its conclusion. Logan Jacobs is very good at the technical aspects of writing, and spelling/editing is excellent.

Loved it!
The OP is real!So this book is about an overpowered hero. If you don't like that sort of thing don't read this bookFor those of you who do like overpowered heroes oh, this book is freaking awesome. The power that the MC has is very unique. The authors execution how he uses it is also extremely well done. The fight scenes are interesting, the conversations are interesting, the characters are riveting and three dimensional, and the spicy parts were written very well. You literally cannot go wrong with this book.Well done mr. Jacobs. Fantastic new series can't wait for the next one.

This was a awesome read, I didnāt realize I was missing such a good op mc !He is strong, smart and not afraid to bed a beauty instead of being all whiny about it!Love this unique line of book Iāve not found one like it but Iāve looked, I think itās great heās not afraid to do the hard work to become an expert on any subject he thinks he needs even if thatās a million āChimesā lol,Give this book a read I promise you wonāt regret it, the only thing youāll regret is there only one book out yet!!

Good concept, rough implementation
First, the story concept is solid. I finished the book even though I ended up doing a lot of skimming in the second half. I wanted to see how the story went even though I wasn't able to stay immersed. The biggest problem is the main character isn't actually a god even though he insists on repeating it every third sentence. He's just an OP PC who's far too arrogant. Minor problems are is it a game or not? If so then work in game elements, if not then provide some backdrop to justify what is happening. The hard developed rules are almost as annoying as the main character.Finally. The reset is an interesting mechanic but it's overused. Most of my skimming was going to the last chime as the material up to that point didn't matter. Why read through six different scenarios when they all end up moot in the end? I like the summary portions better and then just read the final result. The author writes well in the main. There is a solid concept here. But the end result fails to deliver on the potential. Also, telling women what they will do because you think you are a god is wrong. Groundhog Day taught us that much.

Very good and it was not noticeable that this was your first litrpg genre!
Your first time writhing litrpg? Everything was good and you nailed it! Yes only the aspects of items stats was here but it made the story much more... How to say, realistic with a sense of the MC progress more of his own hard work. It just the first book so any other litrpg concepts could be integrated later on.It hooked me from start to finish in one sitting. (Rip my sleeping hours btw)Thanks for the amazing start of a good story that i will follow!

Nice and binding story
I am quiet fond of this story. Although you said that the main character is overpowered and I'm inclined to agree with that I still think that he is not that powerful. He got all that resetting ability for sure but he can't really control the time. I mean he can't see timelines or travel in time. It's all about trial and error with him. He can reset every event to his safe point so he can redo challenges but that does not mean that he is infallible. I mean he could set a wrong safe point. So all in all I liked it very much. Keep writing!

Amazing
OP MC is exactly what the title suggests. Logan's first gamelit work is a must read. Better than many veteran writers whose books I've read. Honestly, I actually didn't expect his first gamelit to be so awesome. Starts a little slow, but hold on for a couple of minutes, and you won't want to put the book down.

A Great LitRPG Beginning
I enjoyed the slower paced story, A lot of litrpg stories rush from place to place.Lots of hints to future plot, and good world building and character growth and development. Can't wait for later books, world has a lot of potential.Fantastic work Author!
