How can you make the classic sponge filter better? This product. Direction head, dual fine sponges and biomedia.It's very quiet and seems to work great in my shrimp tanks. In a 10g, it's a bit too tall but easily fixed by trimming the main tube.The only complaint? The suction cups are not good.

When trying to clean it, you can't just squeeze it like sponge filters and get all the dirt off. I ended up figuring out that you could rub them together and get the dirt off. So that's what I do. Other than that, It's pretty good. I like the adjustable output. I hate the sound of running water, so I have to have quiet filters that can output below water level. Totally works for that.

Nice and quiet filter for my shrimp tank. Worked great for about 5 months. Now it has light output and I’m messing with it every day to get proper flow. Of course I am outside of the Amazon return window and can’t find out how to contact their customer service.

Died after 1 month use. Unfortunate as I liked the simplicity.

Does a good job of capturing small particles. I wish the motor was a little but stronger. The flow of water is not very strong. Good price for what it does. It is very quiet.

I bought one M and one S.They're kinda bulky. But they're sponge filters so that's expected.After opening and assembly, first think I noticed was the suction cups were poorly formed. It doesn't stay in place too well. I have used the filter how for 15 days. It doesn't have the volume of flow to adequately filter a tank the sizes they're claiming. The small claims 70 gph and I'd be surprised if it's even 30. The large is only claiming 80 gph and I swear the smaller is kicking MORE water around that the large does.Lastly the small one is already making impeller whirl and whine. I've pulled it apart and made sure no sand or debris got in, it's clean and is making grinding noises in 15 days.Would not recommend this. Just buy a sponge filter and add your own pump. They've used the smallest cheapest pumps they can find and it shows. The concept is cool, the tubes and hard parts are good, the bio balls and sponges are nice, but it needs more flow and a better quality pump.Starting processes for refunds. Between the costs of the pair of these I could have gotten a smaller canister filter.

I’ve been using this for about three months now and my fish tank is crystal clear. I would highly recommend. I love that I don’t have to buy filters every two weeks now. The sponges last forever. I just cleaned them in some tank water in a separate container and put them back. They are holding up well.

If your tank is simple and roomy, great. If not, don't bother, shipping is crummy, tracking doesn't update correctly, expensive, large. 🤷 Unless you love the way this looks, I can't recommend it... I don't even use it

The product is great. Delivery was super fast. However it has an American power plug which I cannot use here in Australia

I dislike that the filter endangered my fish fast and broke few hours then my fish was almost suficated if not for my bro noticing

It broke after one day. Had not set it up until a few weeks later and by then too late to return I guess. Very very disappointed

This looked promising at first, perhaps I received a faulty unit, but, it could not keep a small tank clean and it completely stopped working after only 2 months of use. I would not recommend this filter.
