30 Apr 2014 These cases (bumpers) feel substantial and the skin texture is the right compromise between slippery and grippy. They have a satiny feel. Slides in and out of pocket fine, but firm grip in the hand. The fit is perfect on the Nexus 5, all the cut-outs line up where they are supposed to. Does not add any noticeable bulk or weight to the phone. Easy to put on and take off. I had trouble with the screen protector, but that was due to my inexperience with them, not the fault of the item itself. Definitely recommend.6 May 2014 UPDATE Much to my disappointment, soon after I wrote my first review, my red Rippercase began delaminating around the front edges of my phone, around the camera lens on the back, as well as the middle of the back case. I have notified Jen, one of the co-founders of Rippercase, about this issue. Will provide further updates on the resolution.16 MAY 2014 UPDATE Jen answered my concern within 24 hours and offered a replacement or refund. I chose a refund because I wanted to avoid a possible similar experience with another unit. Once decided, my refund was processed almost immediately. Note: the black unit that came in this bundle is performing with no problems at all on my husband's phone. So I'm upgrading STARS from 1 to 3 on account of the black case performing as it should and the seller's prompt attention and satisfactory resolution to my complaint.

Firstly, this is a fantastic price. 2 cases AND screen protectors? That's great. I can only speak to the screen protectors and the red case, I have not used the other one. The screen protector works great and fits perfectly. I LOVE the color of the red case and it fits like a glove. My only issue (and the reason this review isn't 5 stars) is that the top layer of the red case peels off slowly and I don't think it's supposed to. It's actually a brighter red without this. I like the color, so that part is okay, but it's impossible to get it all off and you just have to wait for it to slowly make its way off.

This case is beautiful and I have, literally, zero complaints. It fit my phone perfectly, the color is a "true" red and looks fantastic with my black phone. Additionally, the feel of the case is very much like of that phone in that it's sort of velvety, while still maintaining the hard plastic that keeps my phone protected. The bumper case that comes with it is very cool and it's awesome to feel that I have options to switch up the look of my phone if I get bored. And a free screen protector? Nothing wrong with that.The personal customer service that I received in purchasing this phone was also spectacular, and it felt as though there was a genuine desire for me to both love the product and feel as though there was an actual human on the other end of my transaction. I love this case, I think it looks beautiful, and the entire transaction definitely exceeded my expectations.

I'm satisfied with the cases for my nexus. It comes with a hardcase and soft case version. Right now I am using the softcase as it seems most protective. At first I was a bit confused qnf tried to use both cases at once but I realized they are to be used alone. The screen protector needs directions and I slapped it on not really thinking too much about it but it has too many air bubbles and I had to toss it. Some directions for the cases would also be nice. Otherwise an overall very solid design and craftsmanship on the the two cases

this ripper case is awesome. fits well the feel is of a soft rubber like touch. the only cons are that this case if scratched it is white underneath. Its not a solid red all away through. it also rubs some of the black from the nexus 5 off towards the inside of the case. I have only had this case for a week I will update in a week or so see what other changes might take affect.

It feels really nice and looks great. However, as a lot of the other reviewers said, it does tend to "peel" off. The edges on the front has already started losing its outer layer. Seems to be holding up better than I thought it would.The front is also a bit too unprotected for me - I would have liked to see the edges around the whole front face of the phone. But still, it looks really nice.

I couldn't get a red Nexus 5 so when I purchased my Black Nexus I went for this combo so I can have the look and feel of the red model and also have a Screen Protector. IMO this was a great purchase as both case looks and feel great in the hand. As described by RipperCase the black case offers extra protection and the device is still slim and looks great. The red case offers less protection but it is my favorite as makes my Nexus look as it was the original red model. The included screen protector does not include instructions so be careful when applying and look for online instructions if you haven't done it before.I recommend this product.

This pack came with two case styles: a red slim case and a black more protective case. I bought this pack pretty much just for the red case, and it was completely worth it. The black one fits well, but at the end of the day, I wanted a super slim case. The red case fits perfectly, feels great, and looks great. The cutouts are spot on. The case edge protrudes a bit on the screen side allowing you to set the phone screen side down on a table without it touching, and you can set the phone camera side down without an awful wobble. I will be purchasing again if this one gets scratched up or dirty, and definitely if there are more colors released.
