The Folio-Slide case with 5.7MM thin, Bluetooth Keyboard Slide-Lid is simply the most functional case ever made. Its only 3 MM thicker than our non-keyboard lied. The detachable Keyboard Slide-Lid allows for a comfortable typing distance, and the case enables any angle landscape and portrait viewing earning the Best OF Show award at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show.

Key debounce issue on early units. And sadly iPad isn't really made for keyboard use.
Great design but there is currently a quality control or design problem with the keyboards I received at the beginning of July 2015: The keys aren't properly debounced. About once every sentence or two I get a character repeated that I only typed once, and somewhat less often a key that I pressed doesn't register. As an engineer I suspect the workaround will be firmware that will slow down how fast you can type on this keyboard which is not acceptable to me.Zerochroma was extremely helpful in sending a replacement right away, but the replacement had the issue as well so I'm giving up.Otherwise this is a great product with many of the advantages of the folio slide case that is by far my favorite air 2 case.It increases the weight with air2 from 1lb7oz with the non-keyboard slide up to 1lb 12oz with the keyboard. You wouldn't think the 5 ounces would be that much of a difference, but it makes it just heavy enough that I think twice about carrying it with me in my bag, whereas without the keyboard I would just throw it in. For reference my iphone 5s weighs 4.6 ounces, so it's like an extra phone's weight.I wish they had put the keyboard towards the screen so the screen would be closer and hence easier to read. The iPad screen is so small that you don't want it too far away with middle aged eyes like mine. Typing on the on-screen keyboard instead brings it even closer which is good for me.And of course when you use the keyboard you don't have the stability of the flip cover under the stand, which makes it harder to type on my lap without having it fall over. I have a full sized bluetooth keyboard recommended by wirecutter that works better with the ipad for the rare situations when I have a flat surface at desk height but don't have my laptop. Also the ipad has lots of bugs with keyboard use where windows don't redraw correctly and such. No fault of Zerochroma of course. I was hoping this would be as functional as a clamshell notebook for typing handheld but it's just not.Zerochroma is amazing at thinking outside the box and getting details right, so it's a bummer this didn't work out.

Poor design; Zero Support
I've used ZeroChroma for my iPhone 6 and love it, so I was really looking forward to their Keyboard Slide-Lid for my iPad Air 2.Pros: The flexible, rubbery iPad kickstand was easy to install and has the same great variable position/orientation capability of their phone products.Cons: That same flexibility makes it easy to accidently partially remove the case from the iPad. This case is a very poor fit - unlike the tight fit they achieve with their iPhone cases.Keyboard: The USB cable is VERY difficult to partially engage to charge the keyboard. It took 18 hours to fully charge - then pairing was impossible. Could not get the green light to come on, so therefore could not put it into the 'pair' mode. I called and emailed Zerochroma for help and got no response. You cannot call them directly - only leave messages which they say will be returned promptly. I'll give them another day to respond - but will return the product if there is no response today.

Poor build quality
My zerochroma keyboard for my iPad Air stopped working after a few months of very light use. After 12 hours of charging the keyboard remains dead after multiple tries. Very frustrating. Also, the cover is not a tight fit so the volume buttons are a challenge to use.
